A big Congrats to BA for winning both guys and girls regional champ. They must of just completely dominated the running, and they did it without one of their top runners (Ross). I know I picked MBA to win earlier but if the whole BA team can run as well as they did at regions I think they can take it all.

Mccallie beat BA in BA's first meet of the season. BA came without their 2 fastest sprinters. Plus a DQ in one relay race and a fall start in the hurdles by Davis, who would of won.

Awful presumptious of you there to say that Davies would have won over Ross, but he no doubt would have placed high.

It looks like D2 State is going to be the meet to watch this year. I wouldn't be surprised if the meet came down to the 4x400m. It should be a great meet.

Here is the bottom line. McCallie has beat BA and MBA this year and they have not beat McCallie once. McCallie has much more depth than both of those schools. The problem is that at regions McCallie had some injuries and major problems. BA has not proven they can beat McCallie, MBA has not proven they can beat McCallie. However, McCallie has proven that they can beat both of those schools.

Awesome. Simply awesome. To graduate so many talented guys, lose one of your best athletes to injury, and still come up so big to win #14. Congratulations to Coach Harper, Coach Smith, the entire staff and especially the guys.

Way to go Eagles!!

The road to a state title does not come without adversity. Every team has problems and every team has injuries. To win a state title in D2 you have to be able to overcome this.

Congrats to BA on the win.

Yes adversity is absolutly one thing a team must over come and McCallie did. In no way did McCallie complain about their road to the state meet. However McCallie just did not have the power that BA had and neither did MBA however these two school also do not have an athletic director that has been accused of a lot of shady actions. Everyone at the state meet saw McCallie and MBA showing good sportsmanship. They are two honest programs that have very good athletes. BA won the state title, be happy, however they did not work any harder that any athlete at that track meet. It is pathetic that still an individual from BA has to get on a web site and belittle McCallie School and tell us that we did not win because we did not over come adversity.

Go [/b]McCallie!!, Go MBA, Go Bayor, Go all school that give an honest effort and do so with there head up high and are kind to other people along the way.

    • Yea, they have Davey quaking in his boots. Someday they'll even have a winning season.
    • Guessing this may have been the closest I can think of...... Bill Harlow: (from wiki) After leaving OSU, Harlow went on to win three national titles in freestyle wrestling.  He won a silver medal at the 1970 World Wrestling Championships, falling to Soviet Gennady Strakhov in the finals at 90 kg.

    • Maybe some of the historians can get on here and help me out, but has anybody from Tennessee ever had as much success in an international style as Boykin? The only other Tennessee native I can remember competing for world team spots is the older Boykin in freestyle and he wasn't nearly as close as Nick has been to making world teams.
