They moved the Dyer Middle School coach up. Not sure his name.

My son goes to Northview and made the basketball team last year..The coach you are referring to is Tony Lambert...From what I understand, not only has Tony not moved up,he isn't even coaching the middle school this year..From my understanding ,Tony didn't have all the requirements and has been coaching on a waiver and didn't meet the requirements a teacher has to make ..I heard that Northview has hired or about to hire a young coach that graduated from Ark.Tech or some small college..This same source has told me the high school has hired or in the process or hiring a coach that he thought was from Cape Giradeau...Could be a rumor but this same person told me that Frodden was leaving a quite a few days before it was in the newspaper...

Any ideas on who is going to replace Pete? How many starters does Dyer County return???

Dyer Co has thier best player and a star in the making back in C.J.Ctittenton and also has 3 players supposedely transferring from Dyersburg...One of the players ,Justin Blake is about 6'1 and a lot like C.J..Blake can really shoot the ball for just being a sophomore to be...Blake has been playing on an AAU team from Memphis that has been ranked in the top 5 in the nation..His team was national runnersup last year in a big tournament in Florida that had the top teams in the nation ...Blake will be playing in Georgia this coming weekend....With Coach Frodden leaving,a couple players will leaving with him also..His son,Kenon was going to be a freshman and had a chance to be the starter at point guard and also I believe he had a nephew ,about 6'4,that had moved in with him last year from California that was sitting out a year and would have been eligible this year.I would assume he will be eligible at his new school now..Not really sure about the nephew, but I know his son is a very good athlete..He played on my son's all-star baseball team and has great speed..He was the starting guard at Northview this past year and is a very good ball handler..

    • As I said somewhere earlier in the thread, the original plans had no outdoor athletic facilities being part of the campus.  The original plan was for HVA to use facilities at nearby schools.  Very late in the process they came up with a plan and found budget to have minimal facilities and crammed them in to space that never was intended for athletic facilities.
    • Agreed, the way the field is turned you get the evening sun blasting right into the press box making filming a nightmare there, plus its so low.  The field is land locked and parking is a nightmare too. Seems like Knox County could have done a lot better there with the design and the quality.
    • I think this upcoming team may be pretty good, they will definately be better up front and if they can replace Dozier, Heyward and Rembert, they can be real good. They have the same strange schedule, but this time with 5 straight home games. The road games at Jeff County, Powell will be tough to open up with and the back side at Bearden is the tough game there.  One question I had if anyone knows: There has been some talk of an indoor practice facility in the past, with the new track area now more of a track area, that kind of leaves a need for a football practice area. Just sayin....
    • I find it hard to believe that 70% of a schools enrollment is zoned for another school district
    • I was told that the indoor facility is happening regardless of the vote on the taxes but it would be a much bigger project with more funds if they vote goes through
