Top Girls Soccer Players in Tennessee

Page High- (being Page High and getting no credit) has 3 players better than many of those AAA players. SO. Alexis Reddish- sweeper; SO. Hannah Durick - Forward; and SR. Lauren Abrams- Forward.

Page was one game away from State last year- of course losing to eventual PRIVATE SCHOOL FRA. Page was one of 2 public schools in the final 16. Amazing how TSSAA controls the recruiting with D1 private schools.

Page will be back- even losing their coach from last season.

Will the private school bashing never end.

Let's look at the girls from FRA listed in the beginning of this thread; Lyndsey Almon (O.K. she entered her freshman year), her friends on her club team were attending at FRA, maybe she would rather play high school ball with her friends, Kate Woodard (at FRA since Kindergarten), must have excellent recruiting if they spotted her then, Logan Rogers (since 6th grade), I don't know you might recognize talent at that age, and Tory Pitts (I think 5th or 6th) again you must know what you are doing to spot 11 and 12 year old soccer players.

Please, lets not say that these successful teams in what ever sport have cheated in some way, these girls, coaches and parents have put in thousands of hours of work, most of these girls have been playing soccer since the age of 4, (in either Bellevue or Brentwood).

Goodpasture Softball in the past 4 years has owned A-AA softball, I'm sick and tired of my daughter's team not getting past Goodpasture, but I know that Goodpasture has put in more time and has more talent than my daughter's team, they should be the ones who move on. They keep getting good talent but they are not going out and stealing from other schools, talent from other schools are coming to them. We all know a successful program attracts talent.

Remember, these programs go in cycles, if it was not FRA or Goodpasture, then its Hillsboro (football), Shelbyville (basketball), Riverdale (football), or Forrest (name a sport) and that's just in the middle of TN. So, just hang on, who knows your school might be next and then some one will be talking about how TSSAA looks the other way when it comes to your school.

One GK that will get no love all year is Portland's Sarah Smith. I would put her as one of the top 10 or 15 keepers in the state, but she is in the absolute worst spot. She is a three-sport star, so does not play club ball. Plus, Portland's girls' soccer program is lousy at best, and it is not uncommon for her to face 20-25 shots a night. Her brother was an All-State goalkeeper a few years back, and if she were put on any other team in the county, she would get the same honor. Tough situation for her to be in, and unfortunate that no one knows her name.

yah.. haha she's a pretty good goalie :(

Disclaimer: This my own personal opinion. This list is of players i have seen. At both high school games and club tournaments.

So if you are not listed i know nothing about you.

Updated has of July 6 2006

His lists are biased because these are the players he has SEEN. That means he's watched these players at tournaments he went to.

No he does not send someone to every single game across the state to video each player so he can come back and watch it.

I don't think there are any Chattanooga players on there. That means he's probably not seen enough Chattanooga teams to see their players and how they preform.

Besides, this is his OPINION. No one ever told me an opinion was wrong.

Thanks for what you do. Even if some people don't like it.

There. I'm done. Sorry for the explosion.

First of all...that looks like a lot of effort and work to compile that kind of list. Kristine Carbine, I believe, is at David Lipscomb, not FRA. And in your top goalies, After Kate Woodard (on your list of top goalies) was taken out of the season last year very early in the seasonwith an injury suffered on the field, Emily Cannady stepped in and helped win the state championship for FRA playing in goal and recieved some recognition for the same. She makes my list.

Last I think your top player list looks a little light on A/AA players rather than AAA, but that is why it's your list. Let's hope they all have great years and are injury free. Should be exciting!

    • Yea I agree I will say tho I was a big “ v “ fan if an  opening ever did happen I think it would’ve been good to see him have a shot coming from a power house like Oakland. I’m sure he’s learned a lot from Kevin.  I bet he would bring a really good offense scheme IMO But after all this I just dunno anymore.  Whatever happens with the rumors an such if it did come to and opening I think this messes it all up.  The board members dreams are slowly slipping away now. I haven’t lived there for awhile I just hear what I hear, but my question is would there be any good potential candidates?? That’s why I don’t understand why people want b s out so bad who else could do any better ?? IMO there’s nothing attractive about it? As I stated earlier I went to the last game last year and taking a leak in a porta Potty is pretty sad and still nothing being done they say ..
    • I have a sophomore that can do 177 (preferred) or 192. Sent you an email.
    • speaking of board members how can a man get arrested 12 days ago and still be head coaching a team in TC school system? looks like your right about the tc board members. I bet it would be different if they had a kid on the team
