Nice points. I think David has a real good chance. Remember he was coming off the injury at State and his mileage might not have been doing the winter training that normal is done. He's a good runner and I enjoyed racing him this year.

thanks, matt. i'm enjoying reading your blog on tnrunner. hopefully, we can build a pretty good team this year. we have a strong top 3 with clabo, bo owens(5th in 1600 in east section), and andy taylor (they both quit football to focus on running), and the rest of our guys should round it out. looking forward to facing chatt. christian at state. we're no elizabethton, but i expect them to be down a little bit this year...of course, down for them might be 4th at state.

ill thank god if i get around 16:40 on that course it really is rough for me

you should be happy with anything under 17 or at least close to it cuz thats probly what u need for top 10. there are gonna be very few guys hitting 1640 in a/aa this year at state. that might be about the top 5 cut off and that would still be faster than last year

yea ur def a distnace guy so i guess this should go to ur advantage.

i dont mean to call u out but that 16:43 wasnt on a course like steeple

the 16:43 was 3 days after we ran Raccon Mountain. Up it. 3.5 miles straight up hill. 28:28 for ya. Running a 3 mile at Baylor was so easy after that. I want to do the RM run before the possibly the TN Classic, for the JO Classic, before Optimist, maybe even before both Region and State.

It should and I hope it does. Endurance is my thing and I hope to push the level of speed keeping the endurance to a whole new heights. my brother did it.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
