PHargis
Even though some of you may not have found this site, VB play in Middle schools has pick up to the extent that this forum was started. Yes it does cost $12 to post and make our feelings known about your team. That insures more serious posters who are keeping up with future HS polayers. it is very evident the play in middle schools has picked up this year as many teams in Middle School have beaten JV teams in HS in some cases. This weekend In lebanon there is a Middle School Volleyball playday and if anyone reads this, if they might post where and that times it starts. I believe it will be a two day event and think it might be held at the college there. It was last year. it will be a chance for Middle Schoolers and future Middle Schoolers to see what the game is about and participate in the fun and pagentry of the event. I would appreciate someone responding to this site to give info.

While I did not have all of the information until today, this Tournament for Middle Schools was held as a Fundraiser for Cumberland University VB and included some of the best teams in that area and many teams of note around Tennessee. It was a very fine Tournament and had crowds most of the Tournament that almost filled the arena at Cumberland University in lebanon. The schools were: Lebanon Southside Whitehouse Siegel MT. Juliet Christian Gallatin Mt. Juliet Middle Friendship Christian Freedom Carroll Oakland sycamore Macon County Dickson West Wilson lavergne Portland Smith County Games Friday macon County beat Carrol oakland 25-19, 25-23 portland beat sycamore 25-20 and 25-13 Dickson beat macon county 25-18, 25-15 Macon county beat Dickson 25-18, 23-25, 15-8 dickson beat portland 25-14, 25-10 Siegel beat SouthSide 25-4, 25-24 SXiegel beat mt Juliet Christian 25-6, 25-16 mt Juliet christian beat White House 27-25, 25-28, 15-12 Friendship christian beat mt. Juliet Christian26-24, 25-17, 15-12 Freedom beatSouthside 25-12, 25-18 The winning teams who played for the championship were Sycamore, Siegel, Dickson County and Mt Juliet Middle School. Siegel beat Sycamore 25-23 and 25-21 in one semifinal and Dickson beat mt. Juliet middle in the other Semifinal. In the finals Siegel Beat Dickson 25-19, 25-19 and won the tournament. This was the third year this tournament was held and teams were added each year. Coach Dwayne Deering head Coach and Coach Mcarthy Asst coach did a fine job of putting on this event for the third year and are now planning for another one next year. this was a great MS Tournament.
