I think the irish will win a very tight game against the knights. JPII might win the battle at the "skilled" positions but who do they have on the line (on offense and defense) or at linebacker on defense? You cannot plug a whole d-line with one man, Courtney Coffey. The irish should be able to pound the ball right up the knights gut play in play out. Nobody on JPII's line can match the speed and agility of Aaron Bateman and nobody in JPII's secondary can come close to matching him on a one on one collision. Aaron should have a big game on offense and defense. Just as Golden Tate is expected to be JPII's playmaker this game/year, Aaron Bateman is expected to be Ryan's playmaker.

Well.. Courtney Coffey plays linebacker now, and the Oline has some beef They probably average 255lbs. Watch the 3rd touchdown on schoolsportsradio.com the Oline had a real nice 3 yard push on the Dline of Greenbier; Tate had a hole anybody could have run through.... maybe not scored..lol.. but run through.

i saw wesley tate in the greenbrier scrimmage.

impressive for a sophomore

not impressive for a varsity tailback

only thing about aaron bateman is he can play both ways all game long.

I think Dink is still on the lines for Ryan and Lawrence has been added as a senior starter. The battle will be in the trenches but watch out...we have more impact players than Golden....I see more balance from JP2 this week....

I agree but only time will tell. I am not sure the score will be as lopsided as people think one way or the other. I think we will see a very close game.....Good Luck to all....no injuries....and I have to stay loyal and pick JP2 to win 7-6....something like that!

Aaron who? Didn't see him in the rivals/scout or espn insider rankings.

      Can’t believe no one posted on this and gave this team the recognition they deserve!  AAU team Tennessee went to Iowa and done what no other team had ever done and took down Iowa and the strength by holds in AAU nationals!!! Yes McCallie had a solid group of 8th graders and they showed up but we had an AAU team that wrestled their butt off and we didn’t just place in the top 5 … we won the whole dang thing! Yes the NHSCa’s were happening and that may have hurt but never once had TN ever won the national folkstyle duals national championship!!  It was a team effort and some amazing young kids!!!    We are not a fly over state any more… on a side note : we have any even better team for cadet National's team duals in Utah and have a chance to sweep both duals which would be unprecedented!!! However the funds aren’t there and USA isn’t in th position to help these kids get to utah as was AAU that got us to Iowa! Stay tuned for some oppertunities to help make a statement for Tn!!!

      Not gonna lie, it’s been hard watching my alma mater go through a tough stretch on the grid iron. But this thread is even worse. y’all sound like a bunch of jr high mean girls, popping off, while hiding behind screen names.
