Mid-state Preseason Sharp Springs

Great Race! Any comments on the race? Did any of yall go, coach, or compete?

Was this mid-state meet in Smyrna? Do you have final results of top ten teams?

Macon County was there and had 6 boys finish under 20 minutes. Pleased with performance of 1 junior, 3 sophs, and 2 freshmen.

Columbia's boys looked very good and came in fourth in the east division. O'neal Braden a first year runner was tops for the lions with a time of 18:24 placing 18th. Michael Wood came in 23rd and Mason Massey placed 27th. They also had two other runners in the top 40. Columbia will definetely compete with Blackman and Siegel for tops in the region.

yea i ran it! i thought the race was tough around the eh soy bean field?? plus the addition to make it a 5k seemed to take forever to get around. i thought the toughest part was right before you do the soy field where all the gravel was, you just couldn't avoid the gravel! other than that it was a great race.

I ran it too. i thought the hardest part was the woods cause there were so many sharp turns.

What about top ten teams that will run in next race there? How do they determine? Do they account for faster times in east boys race than west? Wondering if our team will get to run in championship race there next time?
