My Volleyball Play

Compassions post of a CNN article about a baseball Dad who created a play based on his experience with coaches and parents, etc. got me to thinking............

how about a TN Volleyball Play? So this would be the cast, as I see it (and please if your name isn't on here it's not for any other reason than I couldn't find a spot for you or I just forgot about you!)

 

Coach: Compassion (the name says it all, plus I know, he knows, a thing or 2 about the sport)

Setter: Old Setter (not just the name but because they lend lots of support)

The server: ChattDad (always seems to get the "floater" in)

Libero: Clifford (just kind of shows up out of nowhere)

Middle Blocker: BruiserEngineer (he can determine the proper angle in a split second)

Defensive Specialist: Bumpsetspike (it all starts with the pass)

Outside Hitter: KYDigs (get it?)

Right side: CowboysUp (she must have some hops!)

Line Judge: GLJ (da)

The Ref: Catuballer (he can justify any "call", no matter what)

The Official Scorekeeper: CoachDadFan (if the ref misses a call, he'll still give the point to our team)

Libero Tracker: Bratman (can't seem to decide which player (team) should be in)

Stat Man: PageMan (again, da!)

Concessions Head: PHargis (fundraiser/promoter, can sell anything)

Pleasant Fan: P4K (seems to be a pleasant person and is great contrast to rowdy fan)

Rowdy Fan: NatureBoy (because anybody that hangs with "the" coach, must be Rowdy, Wooooooooooooo)

Fan to Target opposing Team Server: Jack Sparrow (surely the bird noises would work)

A Dad: DaddyJuice (again, the name)

A Mom: LadyCavMom (do I have to say? plus it's kind of a 2 for 1 deal!)

You are always welcome to join me in the stands. Funny how he figured out I am a better spectator than a player -- shows that my lack of athletic prowess is known far and wide! It's proof to the fact that those who can do and those who can't CHEER!

Oh, yeah! I'll train under Bratman. I like mine with an assortment of mustards (in Switzerland mustard comes in tubes like toothpaste) and some dark bread .....and perhaps a 'beverage' or two. . yum, yum, yum.

Bratman, hope you get to read this. I am not sure how to stay on topic in this thread but I am guessing jibber jabber in a jibber jabber post is consistent.

 

This message board has become a sports page more than an editorial page so I will keep it sportsy. The a/aa brat/pat thread is no more.........alas....probably shooda been called a/aa pats in retrospect.

 

Your no comment on Dupree returning to AC next year is either speaking volumes or you haven't seen my speculation..........

 

Your young lefty MB will be a real good one in time. Two AC players kinda collided tonite, hope they are ok.

 

How did Clinton get so good to beat Maryville, Karns and AC? Hard to believe based on our scrimmage with them early on.

I don't know but 2 posters, I think that I could be the WaWaWaWater-Boy for this team.
