My wife and I went out yesterday(Rainsuits most of the day) caught several fish. Love to fish topwater this time of the year, but the fish didn't get the message. Did catch several fish on shallow running crainkbaits( Wee-R, Rapala DT04 both in crayfish). Also caught a 6-8lb Flathead cat(Yellow Cat) on the Rapala. Just glad to get that fish in the boat, didn't want to lose that $6.00 crankbait.......

Stripper(Rockfish) are few and far between on Loudon. We have caught one in the last ten years. Need to go Norris or the head waters at Kingston Steam plant for Rockfish. There is warm water discharge at the steam plant all year long,so even in the winter the fish are pretty active. If you like Hybrids then Cherokee Lake in Hamblin County is the place to go. Have caught several nice Hybrids fishing for bass on Cherokee.....

My daughter and I went yesterday afternoon. Fished from about 5:30 until dark, caught five or six decent fish and a couple of stripe. Still on the crayfish Wee-R. Fished out of Poland Creek yesterday. Water was rough, lot of the Vol Navy folks still going home in those huge houseboats.......

Striper fishing is GREAT on Cordell Hull Lake(both above & below the dam) and on the Caney Fork River all the way from below Center Hill Dam to where it meets the Cumberland River near Carthage & beyond.

Catching all you want.

THE SQUAD <_<

Whats used for bait there? Is it a deep lake? Its hard to find a place like hartwell, we put in at 6 am and by 8:00 am, 5 of us had our limit,10-12 pound range fishing with blue herring.

Got to fish two days this long holiday weekend. Sure was nice weather wise, but the fishing was slow. Water temp in the main channel was around 56 degrees 57-58 way back in the creeks. Watched a wildcat tournment weigh in Saturday afternoon where we launched the boat. About six or seven pounds (3 fish ) won it. Glad we were not in it,daughter had one fish and I had one.

Loudon was down about two and a half foot. Saturday night after the ballgame and the Vol Navy had all headed home ,TVA dropped it about another foot. Must have scattered the fish, it was tough Sunday. Fish we did catch were on Rat-L-Traps......TVA will have the lake at winter pool by this week. Let it settle down for a couple of weeks and then it will be time to fish for winter crappie...

    • Yeah, I don’t see that AC situation ending well. Let’s be real, AC is a super redneck school, always has been. Inner city boys and rednecks just don’t generally mix well, if you get my drift. Before it’s all said and done, there will be drama. As I’ve said before, people will sell their souls to win football games. It’s crazy.
    • Booger thinkin that it probably not unreal istical to be thinkin the TFP could be ones source..... Booger just sayin
    • Hard to believe that it’s two kids from The McCallie School, and one each from Dobyns Bennett and The Baylor School.  I really thought a couple of other kids would have made the podium this year.
    • I have said it many times before, Coach Phillips stated awhile back; "We coach players that want to be ROADRUNNERS!"  Even if they takes their lumps and bruises and its been bruises the last couple of years, they're still not going to recruit players.  If they stay, LETS GO!  If they leave, SEE YA LATER!  IT's HARD BEING A ROADRUNNER!     Fulton was tough back in the days when they won 3 titles, no argument there.   AC-  I think they beat Alcoa this year , Alcoa isn't all that and they will take their bumps and bruises this year. They won't cake walk 4A and I agree those parents will turn on the coach because they're playing outside kids
