Wow it is weird that when u think of the devil u think RED, but there are more BLUE devils then there are RED devils. Thats kind of funny when u think about it.

 

Blue Devil doesn't make alot of sense so I looked it up. During WWI the Chasseurs Alpins, nicknamed "les Diables Bleus," were well known French soldiers. Supposedly this is where Duke got the Blue Devil nickname.

No disrespect but I thought this was supposed to be a post about unique nicknames? When did Bulldogs, Devils (of any kind), etc become unique? I was expecting to see some names that I heard of before. Don't get me wrong I am a Red Devils alum (JBS), but I just wanted to hear something unusual.

 

Well, even in all the Murphy Fair books I saw back in school I only saw 3 Devil teams. Guess I didn't look hard enough.
