1stdown
Add the Unicoi County Blue Devils, Jellico Blue Devils, and the Harriman Blue Devils to that list. Add Jackson County to the list of Blue Devils.
URSUS
Wow it is weird that when u think of the devil u think RED, but there are more BLUE devils then there are RED devils. Thats kind of funny when u think about it. Blue Devil doesn't make alot of sense so I looked it up. During WWI the Chasseurs Alpins, nicknamed "les Diables Bleus," were well known French soldiers. Supposedly this is where Duke got the Blue Devil nickname.

Claiborne used to be the Blue Devils, and have changed their nickname to Bulldogs, that is where that fits in. FOLLOW ALONG.

Raynok
No disrespect but I thought this was supposed to be a post about unique nicknames? When did Bulldogs, Devils (of any kind), etc become unique? I was expecting to see some names that I heard of before. Don't get me wrong I am a Red Devils alum (JBS), but I just wanted to hear something unusual.

Guess I didn't look hard enough.
