Are they popping up when you come on to the main site, or the boards, or both?

They pop up when I first come to the site, and then occasionally when I am surfing through the boards.

I'm looking at ways to do away with them but fans have to realize that I hate popups and run them for one reason only- they pay 5 to 10 times more than the other ads you see and it is nice to be able to pay the server and bandwidth costs at the end of the month and still have a little left over. In other words, I don't use popups (actually, they are pop unders) because I want to.

Mostly on the boards, for me, had two this am.

#1 was http://a.tribalfusion.com (Where are your old friends now?) 10:45AM

this is the more prevalent one, and is a pop under; behind the current page.

#2 was http:/ www.toptvbytes.com/index.aspx?pid=10011

#3 is a pop up that appears in front of the page; practically impossible to remove.( Edited to add:

Description of pop up; Attention - Participation Required / Congratulations / Your banner ID #

335192 - you are qualified for hourly prize.... recieve new Apple IPod Nano.

If I try to exit w/ X or No, it opens up the website. This is on the main page..

Additionally, one of them locked my pc up this am. had to restart browser.

I am also using Firefox, but does not stop the pops. Only site it will not block.

CoachT, I understand about paying the bills; if that is necessary, then ok by me, as long

as they are behind the page, but the one in front is a problem.

It is understandable coach...you got to pay the bills to keep this site up and running, without raising the member ship prices.

    • I used to think like that many many moons ago.  I wondered the same questions but learned that it is just not that easy.  Hiring assistant coaches can be complicated at times.  It takes a few years for HC’s to get who they feel is right for their system.  Couple that with good assistant coaches getting better jobs at times and leaving your program. More to it than some think.  I think you have a good coach up there and time will tell that story.
    • okay.  Like i said initially, it's question we have to ask, but we sure don't know the answer yet.
    • You’re right, I shouldn’t jump the gun on it. Hopefully it isn’t related to the sports programs, because it’ll end up affecting a lot of innocent kids who just enjoy playing sports.
    • I totally agree but just don’t want to see people jumping the gun by insinuating it was for athletic reasons. Nobody knows at the moment except for those involved in the incident itself and those investigating.
    • Bruh, That portion of the post was simply a product of my imagination. Try to keep up.  The real purpose of the post was to rub salt in this fresh wound following FF’s departure to BGA.
