Fulton: the Falcons return Jock Stinson at QB first of all. Secondly they'll be stacked with skill guys at receiver and defensive back with Ken Tyson, Victor Smith, & Derrick Humphrey all returning as well. Hard hitting linebacker/fullback Bubba Stokes is also returning to the field for the Falcons in 2007. The biggest returning player to the entire team though may be today's Defensive MVP Terrence Cobb.

David Lipscomb: the Mustangs will not skip a beat next year. Caleb Simpson, who started several games at QB throughout this year, will take over the reigns of the offense next year. He'll have a wealth of backs to hand the football off to in Russ Moneypenny, Kevin Davis, & Jeremy Holt. I haven't even mentioned the fact that the team's leading receiver, Zach Rogers, is only a sophomore and will also be back next year. Evan Webb & Mitchell Tenpenny will both be back to anchor the region's top defense next year and reliable place kicker Kyle Lehning also returns in 2007.

Pearl-Cohn: the Firebirds will be expected to at least return to another deep trip into the playoffs next year. Quarterback Deaunte Mason and Tailback Deaveon Gregory are both back to lead what may be the state's most explosive backfield next year. Markese Osborne will anchor the team up front while defensive stallworths Dominique Sweatt and Region Defensive MVP Howard Griffin will lead the way on that side of the football in '07.

White House: the Blue Devils should expect versitile athlete Matt Parker to take over at QB next year after starring at both receiver and defensive back for this year's second round bunch. The star defensive back duo of DeMarqus & DeMarrius Payne will both also return and both should play a greater role on the opposite side of the football next year as well. Defensive forces Michael Barrett and Rogers Gaines will both return to lead a Blue Devils bunch that could make a long awaited return trip to the Boro next year.

I KNOW THAT THREE OF THOSE TEAMS ARE ON THE SAME SIDE OF THE BRACKET, UNFORTUNATELY, BUT THOSE ARE STILL MY TOP FOUR TEAMS HEADING INTO THE 2007 CAMPAIGN :thumb:

I should also mention that I heard Austin East was a VERY YOUNG team this year and from looking at their resume this past year with all of those tough close losses against such great competition I'd venture to say that they'll be in line to make the list as well. Exactly what stars from this past year's team does AE return in 2007 and who is really expected to step up and contribute that folks might not really know of at this point in time????????

AE loses their talented quaterback and Anthony Anderson (ut commit). This is 60% of their offence and return game. They will be competitive though as usual.

They have not had the total offensive package the past 3 years that they were accustomed to. Defense will be somewhat better. They definitely are a region 2 threat to advance.

Fulton seems to always reload following mass departures of seniors. After the 02' runner-up finish, roughly 18 seniors, most of whom played, graduated and the Falcons came back to win it in 03'. After that season, roughly 19 seniors graduated, most of whom played, and Fulton repeated in 04'. This year, Fulton came off of losing some key linemen and playmakers Pitchford and Tyrone Cobb, yet went 14-1 and won it again. Next year Fulton is very capable despite losing 21 seniors who won 3 titles, returning Stinson and pretty much all of his receivers and db's with the exception of Freeney, and Terrence Cobb will be back to replace Dennis Rogan. Those are HUGE shoes to fill, but Cobb is a very good running back and would have started there for anyone else this year. The problem could lie in the trenches for the Falcons. All 6 linemen who played this year will be gone. Hamilton, Gildner, Mathis, Winters, and Stinson on the defensive side are gone. If Fulton can get some help on the line, watch out, but if not....well it could a growing pains season next year for the Falcons.

is it true that fulton loses a lot of great players in this class? or do they have some kids who will fill those spots just as well as the previous guys? same goes for catholic. do they have the depth to withstand the loss of hartmann, smith, etc.?

Im not for sure but id say Fulton does loose some great players, but they are replaced with other great players.
