Young Mr Cash acted a little bit like a thug during the match against the Farragut young man. I saw him walking around like he owned the gym when he was warned for the false start and was warned for stalling. Why didn't the ref's say anything to him. Also pointing to the score board showed a lack of class.

I think he is a great wrestler but was shocked to see his actions when things didn't go his way.

I agree. He could take a lesson from the 27 other wrestlers in the finals. He appears to wrestle with more attitude than heart. At least that is the way it appeared yesterday. (He did have a nice throw in the closing seconds on the edge of the mat) I repeat...on the edge of the mat.

He gave some classes on take downs to his most of his comp. He is fun to watch. I only saw his reaction after the stalling warning and was a little shocked. I had to leave and watch another match.

I had some other parent's and wrestlers tell me about it. I know he was tested in the finals and didn't hear to many folks clap for him when the awards were given for his weight class.

Who is his comp in D-II.

who the heck cares if he showed some "thuggery"? i would much rather see cash get mad at calls then watch 90 percent of other wrestlers that dont even care about their matches or care to dedicate themselves. wrestlers like justin cash dedicate their lives to this sport and are willing to do whatever it takes to win. the only reason why he shows emotion when he wrestles is because he is so passionate about it. there is a reason why cash wins; its because he is willing to put in the effort to win. this goes for all of those wrestlers that you see in the finals of the father ryan tournament. they dedicate themselves to the sport and in turn expect to win. this kid you adults are bashing is probably 15 years old. think about how many 15 year olds you know that work as hard as wrestlers such as cash do. those finalists you saw on saturdays are the direct result of the few percent of teenagers these days that have a goal in life. that actually have a direction to go in and have something in which they have dedicated their time to. cash wasnt showing any "thuggery." he was showing his passion and dedication to the sport. i'm waiting for other wrestlers to start caring like him and all the other finalists do about this sport

Did you see the match or hear about it? I am a McCallie fan but thought that Cash was RESPONDING to some blantant "thuggery". I guess the fact that there were no calls would support the opinion that neither side was that bad. However, in my opinion the Farragut kid was the initiator. He seemed beaten and frustrated. I am surprised that anyone would blame Cash. I know this is about opinion, but I am still surprised.

I did SEE the match and do not agree with you at all. Now I saw a perfect ankle pick and a perfect toss by Cash and a potential toss out of bounds by the Farragut wrstler, but I saw no "THUGGERY" of anykind between either wrestler until after the match. The kid farragut did look frustrated and that is a good thing, that means he went into the match looking to win.

Now in my opinion this is bashing on Cash and now on another wrestler. Just let them train and let them compete and just be glad that we get to watch some great wrestling.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
