In the West I agree with NEWSTANG. Huntingdon,Union City,JCS should be the front runners. Sleepers will be Adamsville,Fayette Aca.,Halls,Humbolt and of I won;t dare forget the 2006 state champs McKenzie.

Union City has a young squad but Lowrance can't pitch every game. Speed with have to do double duty on the mound and on the middle infield.

McKenzie needs pitching after last years show. But they will do fine until playoff time.

Adamsville is the team to watch with several players back.

JCS will be strong on the mound but the bats looks to be a little down after the 4 hole.

Huntingdon has the pitching to get them back to the state but the outfield has to come around. Strong bat comes to town with McAdams. Still a question at the catchers position. Different ways to go.

Can't wait. Good Luck to everyone on the 2007 Season.

Huntingdon, Adamsville, and JCS have to be the favorites. A'Ville returns virtually the same team that played in the sub-state last year, while Huntingdon returns the entire pitching staff from a state tournament team.

Union City and Halls in 14-A are always tough, but lost a lot of seniors. Humboldt doesn't concern anyone because they have no one that can hit. Bradford actually returns its entire lineup minus one, as does Peabody, but those teams always have trouble winning big games.

McKenzie lost the most, but play in a very weak district behind Huntingdon. If they can find a #1 starter, they'll have a chance in May as well.

TCA or Riverside could also sneak up on JCS in 15-A as well.

Bruceton Central returns 8 starters and should challenge McKenzie if they can establish a solid pitching rotation. The Mustangs are loaded!!! Not sure about West Carroll and Clarksburg.

monterey wildcats have all retuning starters besides one and 100% of innings pitched back from last year have to get past atough region with friendship and trousdale in the mix and this year we have a lot more depth at all positions i believe if we can get past the region hopefully we can make some noise good luck to all teams and hopefully we will see you at the show

Union City lost many starters..(7)...but they still have some key players from last years 24-3 team. Some new comers will have to step up to help them. I believe they will win 14A...but come time for state, it will be a tough couple of weeks. They have the talent and coaching to do so however. With Lowrance throwing good and Speed hitting, the rest of the team will fall in behind, and could be trouble for any team.

Sophmore Cameron Sherwood will be the best defensive short-stop to come out of Union City. He backhanded Marki Guy in the hole last year. Atleast UC will have the best field in the state.
