First - crow is right about the field. The best, hands down, in West TN.

Next - in looking back at cpt's posts, he's either the kid from JCM that has transferred to McKenzie or his dad. Stop talking yourself/your kid up. Let the play on the field do it. Even if he is the #1 starter, as you claim, he can't wear the cleats of the guy he's replacing.

Sophmore Cameron Sherwood will be the best defensive short-stop to come out of Union City. He backhanded Marki Guy in the hole last year. Atleast UC will have the best field in the state.

Cameron is good...he will more than likely play shortstop with Colton Speed at second. Craig Lowrance is getting moved to the outfield this year because of the lose of all three starters off of last years team. Atleast that's what I've heard. Defense will not be their problem this year...offense could be, they lost 7 seniors! But you can never count these guys out. They have a lot of raw talent!

If Unaka can find a solid ace, they'll be in the mix of things come May again.

The way Unaka played against lookout valley last year they probably won't go back to state unless they brought up some ballplayers through and through or were just having a bad week.

Forrest Rockets...Lost 8 from Last yr's Runner up team But still have alot of Talent!!!Will have alot of youth this season with (5 seniors,4 juniors,8 sophomores, and 5 freshamn) but as the yr goes on and experiece grows could be a sleeper team come May!

In regard to the rockets, they were not by any means a bad team. However they did lose thier ace, Mikie Minor, after last year. I do not see any better of an outcome for them this year. I do think however, if they had conserved Minor's arm against Lookout Valley last year, they could have gone all the way. I saw Minor throw with my own two eyes. If they had saved his arm that day, they couldn't have been beaten.

No dought that game was brutal for Unaka coming off a close lose 2-1 to Huntington earlier that morning. Lookout could hit the ball pretty well and Unaka's offense didnt kick in until it was way too late. This years team is young with only 3 seniors but is well balanced and lineup will be much more expolsive this year with A. Church, A. Colbough, and B. Medina in the middle. Pitching will be the question this year for the Rangers.

Rockwood returns all but one starter this year.. And that has already been settled with two player who will prob be rotating depending on who is pitching. they have atleast two above average first basemen in Breazeale and Cooper, a very good fielding second basemen in Mayton, Duncan and Tinker look to have short stop on lock, with Allen who is practically a brick wall at third, and an above average catcher in Whitaker.. Doughty and Hill are prob a lock on left and center, with right being up for grabs. Pitching for the Tigers should result in many wins this year as opposed to last year.. Duncan and Breazeale have equal talent so it wouldnt be fair to number them 1 and 2. it can go either way. 3 will prob be the Cooper kid and 4 being Skidmore who stepped up a lot last year as a freshman.. the Tigers should also be pretty good with the sticks this year as well.. doughty and Allen speak for themselves when they are up at the plate.. Cooper and Mayton do whatever it takes to get on base as well.. But also remember that the Tigers finished under .500 last year so they have a lot to prove.. all this looks good on paper, but the Tigers are going to have to prove themselves on the field.. Coach Cofer and Wampler should have their men ready come opening day agaisnt OS
