The only reason RH is where they are is because the teams are so bad. A good coach would not let some of the stuff fly that goes on up there.

I agree. If Sale Creek and Lookout Valley have the kind of teams they normally have (like for the past 20 years), Richard Hardy is not even in the conversation.

They're an average team that has caught District 6 with a few of its normal Top 4 teams having very less than average years. I still think RH's coach will win it, just because CSAS's coach won it last year, but I don't think that's right. What's the logic? If a good team is expected to be #1 in a lousy district and they do it, do they get no credit? But if an average team in a lousy district finishes higher than most (except me) thought, do they get all the credit? I wonder which way that will go. Hmmmmmmmm.

South Pittsburg's coach should get serious consideration for District COY. Any reasons to dispute that can be beaten with the following:

1. Lost the school's all-time leading scorer and rebounder from last year

2. NO GYM! - 85% of games were played on the road

3. Still finished a solid #2 in the district (which is exactly where they've finished the previous two years WITH the school's all-time leader in everything!)

4 NO GYM! NO GYM! NO GYM!

That's got to be worth something!

Didnt SP coach get ejected from a game last week? If so that should take him out of the running for COY forsure

I don't care who wins coach of the year, but I can't believe that anyone would seriously consider Richard Hardy's coach. If you look on their schedule, half of their games were played against non-TSSAA opponents (Boyd Christian, Paint Rock Valley, Berean). They lost to Lookout Valley early when Valley was worse than they are now. They lost to the first place team, CSAS, by 35 and 36. Whitwell and Valley are having the worst years in their history. Sale Creek is average. This would be a joke for their district.

nope. sorry. he didn't. CSAS's Dragoo won it last year (I think it was unanimous, but I'm not sure); Robinson from SP won Player of the Year

I'm not saying CSAS's coach won't get it, I'm just saying SP's coach deserves consideration for the unusual circumstances they've gone through this year. They went through all that and still finished where they have for the past two seasons. To me, that's pretty impressive.

    • Yea I agree I will say tho I was a big “ v “ fan if an  opening ever did happen I think it would’ve been good to see him have a shot coming from a power house like Oakland. I’m sure he’s learned a lot from Kevin.  I bet he would bring a really good offense scheme IMO But after all this I just dunno anymore.  Whatever happens with the rumors an such if it did come to and opening I think this messes it all up.  The board members dreams are slowly slipping away now. I haven’t lived there for awhile I just hear what I hear, but my question is would there be any good potential candidates?? That’s why I don’t understand why people want b s out so bad who else could do any better ?? IMO there’s nothing attractive about it? As I stated earlier I went to the last game last year and taking a leak in a porta Potty is pretty sad and still nothing being done they say ..
    • I have a sophomore that can do 177 (preferred) or 192. Sent you an email.
    • speaking of board members how can a man get arrested 12 days ago and still be head coaching a team in TC school system? looks like your right about the tc board members. I bet it would be different if they had a kid on the team
