QUOTE(IMAC_5 @ Mar 26 2007 - 08:12 AM) 826422836What do yall think about the Geeneville vs. EAST series today and tomorrow

The Greenville vs. East game in my opinion will either be a good game or it could resemble a Special Olympic event, the score will not reflect the effort displayed on the field by the " athletes ".

With Coach Altizer manning the show at East this year, you never know who will be pitching. Ramsey IS the catcher, but with his arm strength, I wouldnt put is past Altizer to try Brad on the mound. With 3 conference games right in a row, you have to have a deep pitching staff because anything can happen. Just ask Jeff County. They had to use 5 pitchers in one game to beat the Devils in a 9 innings slugfest.

Maybe prediction is not her strong suit...............better be careful in Vegas! Thats Las Vegas, not the mighty G-Vegas!

Big win last night for the Devils against East. East threw the ball around quite a bit and made some mistakes but Greeneville hit the ball really well against Collins. Last season they had like three hits on him. Either way they will take the win because they needed one badly.

Imagine that East throws the ball around! Not much of a suprise considering with their new coach the word is they don't have lot of defensive practice. I was told they show up, hit, and go home. The way i look at that is all you have to do is throw a decent game and let them beat their selves as they apperently did against greenville. Good job Devils things are looking good for you this year keep up the hard work. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

QUOTE(DZbettin @ Mar 16 2007 - 04:08 PM) 826414299Since there is no official coaches vote, they couldn't have been picked last in the conference. And anyone that knew anything about the IMAC this year knew Cherokee would finish top half. And how does Cherokee have players that play AAA and AA? Do they play for two different teams?

Cherokee was picked last in EVERY media poll on the IMAC in NET

Your right. EAST did play like crap. They made 8 errors and mental mistakes. But in my opinion, they will be good around tourney time. For pitching, Collins had a back problem all last year and had to quit summer ball. SO that made him unable to pitch from May to Nov. He is just trying to find his location again and working on off speed. PLus east has Nick Greene who has stepped up big this year, Jeremey Dickerson who is throwing the ball well, Walker Bullington who is a great relief pitcher, Jake Ellison who has some pepper for a freshman. I just think when Collins get his Strength back and back on track and EAST starts making some plays they will be hard to beat.

Dont make excuses. Greeneville just flat out hit the ball against him. Greeneville has a kid playing on varsity who is a pitcher/IF that had knee surgery this summer to replace the cartlidge in his knee and couldnt do any type of training from May to January, then had the same injury to his other knee in a preseason scrimmage. He is out there chugging along not making excuses. Excuses are like a butthole...everyone has them...

    • This late in the year, you’d have to think they’d go with an Asst. on staff, right? I’m pretty new to the area so still learning how folks do things around here…if Woods stays there to teach, it could be hard on a new guy/staff coming in…
    • Well, your Big Western Hunt better turn up some Zebras to come graze on the Stones to make the jungle gametime ready again and make sure the plumber bros. still will come service the facilities at the Mecca. I hope your weekend is Fowl. Tell Rip hello from the Five Oh. Maybe the Gravedigger will catch a ride with Alphaniner on a flyover soon to BNA.
    • It’s not hearsay, just patently false. As one of those young coaches he apparently “ran off”, coach never once ridiculed or degraded anyone. Sure he challenged kids and coached them very hard,  but we have different definitions of you call that degrading. Coach Hammontree changed my life when he gave me the chance to work for him. I learned more about being a man and caring for the people around me in 4 years working for him than I did in 20 years of my life. No one sacrificed more than he did. I left Heritage because I felt there would never be the support necessary to help the program succeed. I’m tired of hearing people drag others down especially those they truly don’t know. Coach has moved on and a new coach is there. Just let the man live and root for the team.
    • Waiting on the Great One.   White Horse and Rip have a big weekend in the woods, and the Sheriff is working the overtime here.      Turkey season awaits…..Big Gobblers everywhere.
    • He won first at maryville so he did something right
