If someone asks how LA beat BTW, you let them know about the rebounds. 17 of LA's rebounds where offensive. I will take my hat off to Livingston for taking advantage of BTW's inexperience in the Boro and how the games are officiated. The game was even closer that the 9 point victory. Livingston made 14 out of the 19 free throws they took in the second half. I don't want to sound like a sore loser, but some things are very obvious and some integrity should come into play with adults. I think LA got some call because of the rep. However that does not take anything from LA, their girls took advantage of the opportunity and made their free throws down the stretch. The doubled down on #20 Valencia Tucker and got away with as much as the ref allowed and I applauded them for that. I think LA will make it to the AA finals they are a well coached team. GOOD LUCK Livingston and maybe we will meet again next year.

Congratulations Lady Wildcats on an impressive win against BTW. Once again free throws played a key role in the win last night. We also had a big rebounding edge that helped as well.

 

But my hats off to coach Smith and staff on the excellent game plan they prepared for BTW. And to our girls for executing it perfectly. BTW didn't dominate the paint like I'm sure they thought they could. They didn't have an answer to the LA defense. AHEM...DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS

 

I listened to Roger's broadcast and he done an excellent play by play as usual. He stressed over and over how talented this BTW team was. The Baymen (SP ? ) girl was really an amazing player. It sounded like she did everything but sell popcorn. I thought for a long time she was going to beat us single-handily. But our girls kept their poise and brought home the win.

 

Get rested and get ready for Marshall Co. and one game at a time.

Congrats Livingston Academy.... From what I've read about this game, this was a very IMPRESSIVE performance all around. Good luck in the next round.

 

Chair, I read where you said you "listened" to the broadcast. Kinda figured you'd be at the game. What gives?? Hope all is well with you.....

Chair, was it a good game? I was studying for mid-terms. Had to study last night because of some banquet last week. I'll see you Friday in Murf.

      Shopping? His family is loaded and he's 6'6 I'm pretty sure he could start anywhere in upper East TN,So no need to shop. Word is Witten got caught trying to work him out on campus and some 7 on 7 while playing athletics for Sullivan East. Word got around pretty quick and Someone turned them into TSSAA.

      Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta.
