Need a board to post fund raising events

QUOTE(zonepirate @ Mar 8 2007 - 09:56 PM) 826405561South Pittsburg's Quarterback club has an annual golf tournament to raise funds for the football program. I've stuck a post in a couple of spots but there is really no place to put fundraisers other than sticking it on a board some place (unless I'm missing something). Here is our 4th Annual Golf Classic post as an example.

Or camps. I like this Idea.

Fundraising everts is a good thread. I would like to see T manipulate around that one on this site. Since a program may need as much as $20000 to operate, it generally will take someone year round with multipel events to generate enough money alson with donations. thats why some one on staff with a marketing or economics degree would help a program. not many of those around with a lot of energy butt would be a good investment for a program.

hey coach how about a thread at the top of each forum of the sport it is benefitting and the only ones that can start it up there is either you or you and the MODS?

QUOTE(Thatsmygirl @ May 20 2007 - 01:02 PM) 826463428I think this would be a great idea, but we need to find a way to pay CoachT for the advertising. As I am sure this site is not cheap.

We are talking about school fundraisers, not commercial, for profit activities. Coach makes money from commercial advertisers. Anybody can help him out by simply clicking on the advertising links. You don't even have to buy anything or even stay there just click and visit. The advertisers pay for placement and usually by the number of click-throughs. For example from Google's web site "Google AdSense matches ads to your site's content, and you earn money whenever your visitors click on them." Click, click, click

Don't encourage clicking, though. Google will kick me out in a minute if they suspect click fraud. If you see an ad that you are interested in then click on it, otherwise don't.

As an example of how it works, the ad at the bottom of this page today:

10,152 views, 3 clicks= $0.98 revenue today...... which is why I need many more Plus members.

I'm just real interested in the ads and everybody else needs to know what great information these advertisers have "wink, wink". Just think those 3 clicks was enough to buy you a cup of coffee.

I agree. All of the tightwads need to man up and spend the $12 to become a plus T'er

    • Agree with most of this and add that it takes a "type A" personality to be successful as the top guy. Lots of folks are knowledgeable of the game, have the skills to co-ordinate scheduling, officials, duties, rosters, etc... What they lack is natural charisma and the innate ability to convince young men that they care for them, and what they're teaching them will make them successful if they contribute their effort. Football can be learned...leaders are born.
    • Understandable. I honestly couldn’t remember. When you lose your starting QB especially in high school it’s a big blow
    • Gotta keep it real here.  Nobody is twisting their arm making them coach football.  There are more high school football coaches around here than ever.  Schools that have the same enrollment today as they had 50 years ago have 5-6 coaches instead of two.  Every head coaching vacancy will get a flood of applications.  Well over 20 at West Carroll from what I read earlier in this thread.  There's more men getting into coaching each year than are getting out.  The fact is that there are far too many high school football coaches out there.  Like I said, just keeping it real.
    • Off the top of my head WV finished 3rd and RC finished 4th. I think both lost close games in the first round. Overall they were pretty evenly matched last year.
    • I’m gonna be tapped in for that Marion Co. game 🪶 🔥
