I think the goodpasture track team will excell this year by far.

Although losing some very valuble players by graduating they still will do great.

The boys this year look very promising, KJ and Brigham are the two fastest, both are seniors.

KJ has been to state a few times for many events.

He is very good at high jumping and hurdles, he is a big weapon for goodpasture.

The girls this year will most likely struggle some by losing 3 very valuble seniors:

jasmine pain, megan linvel, and of course state champion natile wise.

But there is hope, 2 girls look very good: ariel smith and hayley smith[not related].

For Ariel this is her junior year, her strongest race is the 200m dash.

And now for the youngest Hayley. Hayley was on track last year as an 8th grader.

She ran the 400m better than anyone in high school, besides Ashlee Dance, Hayley always came in 2nd.

It shows here Hayley was 1 secound shy of her schools record as an 8th grader!

Hayley's time:1:01 School Record: 1:00

Now a faster freshman we're all hoping she will succed, and beat the record this year. Good luck!

Ariel also does long jump, and is very good at it. Also the 100m her fastest time was 13.6

which is excellent for a girl, Ariel really is an amazing sprinter.

Hayley takes after Natile a very good runner and jumper. Hayley got 5th in a high jump before ever having practiced it before that met, someone was sick so she did it, then they found she had a new talent. Although her highest jump was only 4'6, 8inches below Natile's school record thats still pretty good for an 8th grader.

Moving on the team is coached by 2 very good coaches one being Coach Wells, ex titans player. Also by Coach McWilliams.

We're all pulling for Goodpasture this year. Good luck team!

I think Elizabethton will have a very good track team.We had a scrimmage meet with Dobyns Bennet,Science Hill, and Tennessee High thursday. All the teams had their starters running. The 4x100 results was 1st ELIZ 2nd SH 3rd DB 4th TH.

THE 4x200 1st DB 2nd ELIZ 3rd SH 4th TH.The 4x400 1st ELIZ 2nd DB 3rd TH 4th SH.The dicus throw Bruce Crumley from ELIZ won with a throw of 134.THE shot put Jordon Ray came in 2nd and it was his first time throwing in a year.plus they got three state medlst returning 1. Justin Fuqua(110 hurdels runner up and 300 meter hurdels champion)2.Derek Carr(Part of 4x400 meter relay that finshed 6th with a split time of 50.00 which he is running the open 400)3.Jordon Ray(5th place in shot put )They ony lost 2 seniors last years relays all finshed either 3r or 4th in sectionals and the teamwas sectional runner up besides the 4x400 which finshed 2nd.We also have alot of freshman which can run which means more relays =more points. The dstance is also a stout bunch too.You tell em if you think we might be good /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
