QUOTE(Warhawk1 @ Apr 11 2007 - 03:49 PM) 826435132[/snapback]I think if you would do a little checking you would see differently. Up until 6-8 years ago Bethel did not have much of a program, but has shown steady improvement since. They are on pace this year to set a school record for victories and have already had two break the single season home run record this year. They are more competetive than ever this year, their first in the tougher Transouth Conference. They are currently in fifth place. I think they are on track!!

Fifth place is not good!!! I have seen that field at Bethel and it is a porch in right field. I played against Keck and have kept up with him on you guy's stats, he is hitting below.300 with half of his 30 something hits homeruns. Tell me that aint a porch. I was expecting Bethel to go to Idaho after reading your preseason outlook on your website, "uncharted territory, the World Series", what a joke. Fifth place in an NAIA conference is an absolute laugher. Keep up them winning ways, I just would not reccomend anyone who thinks they have a chance to go there. How many people have been drafted from your program, anyone? Didnt think so, good luck the rest of the way coach. I am entitled to my opinion, which is shared with most good players in this state.

"Played against Keck?" Where are you playing now? Jilted? Fifth is definitely an improvement when comparing to previous seasons. Granted, 15 of Keck's 37 hits are HR, but those 37 hits have produced 50 RBIs with a batting average of .293. I think most would consider that a decent freshman season. I have heard that Keck is really enjoying his time at Bethel. If you have seen the field this season you would have noticed the tremendous changes/improvements to both the surroundings and the playing field itself.

Now it comes out. I thought I sensed some sour grapes. I'm not a coach, just a supporter of what I feel is a fine school. I hope things work out well for you. Obviously you are at a place that is a much better fit for you!

Burton is a fine athlete but he won't be playing football at ETSU. At least not on the school's team /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
