QUOTE(BustinOut @ May 12 2007 - 12:02 PM) 826457975Chase Greenway died yesterday morning due to an overdose on oxycottin, Sad day for Greeneville and anyone who knew Chase. It shows how bad drugs can actually be for kids. This shouldnt happen to a 20 yr old. I hope that everyone who reads will do anything to make this STOP NOW!!

Prayers from huntingdon for his family.

I didnt think the autopsy results had been released yet. Please be sure your facts are correct before you get on here and tell something you probably heard at school.

i have been told by numerous amounts of people that, that was what happened to him. i wasn't just going out and telling facts i heard at school. most the people at my school don't even know who he is. so don't say i'm spreadin stuff that i don't know what i'm talking about when so many people have said that it was what happened. not matter how sad it maybe.

QUOTE(guestuser @ May 13 2007 - 03:36 PM) 826458503Its a sad shame that they were there and let him do that, let alone go around bragging about knowing.....

no one was bragging they were just saying what happened. If your going to keep saying stupid stuff then stop posting on this board. If you want to argue about it then send me a privet message. This is not the place to be doing it.

    • Personally I was pulling for Lee Hammonds to get another shot. He’s earned it!
    • Tyler Williams was the logical choice to be named head football. He served as the Highlanders’ strength coach and offensive coordinator.
    • I went to practice yesterday and liked what I saw for the most part. Derek and crew have done a good job during the off-season. I was very impressed with the size of some of those boys on the offensive line. My only regret was one of the boys I was really pulling for to have a good year was dismissed from the team. I have to applaud the coaches for setting examples for the others, no one is bigger than the team. One other thing, I was hoping with that big rain we got this week some of that  yellow paint would dissolve but it didn't.
    • Couple of thoughts: 1.  I just don't understand all the intricacies in TSSAA transfer rules anymore.    William Blount had a kid that played the final part of the basketball season with them this year,  that played at Hardin Valley last year, and played football for Bearden this year.  I say that to say, I know the coaches and the AD and the Principal at WB and I will never believe they would do something they knew was wrong.  They are men of character.  I BELIEVE the same thing about the coaches and administration at Maryville.  Call me gullible, but these are men and women of integrity in my experiences with them. 2.  Much like the transfer of the Clemmer kid a couple of years ago, with Smith, the football team is getting a huge boost, but the impact on the basketball team will be just as great or maybe even greater.  With Smith playing post, it frees the Sigmund kid who will be coming back from injury, to play more with his face to the basket.  The Rebels basketball squad in my mind, will be "the program" in East Tennessee next year.
    • Could not agree more. After this year, McKenzie's new coach will have their work cut out for them. Staying in 1A would definitely be a huge plus. Most years there is not much difference in the top 5- 1A and 2A teams across the state, but after the top 5 or so there is normally a huge drop off for 1A. Regular season region play is a lot easier for 1A in West TN  right now.
