KEV-O
I'm hoping they use the money to purchase blocks of tickets on the tuesday nite games to increase the attendence on the slowest dates, unless we are playing the Wings. A couple of the lower bowl season tics doesn't help as much because they will be getting the games that will sellout anyway. Need to be smart how the money is spent to maximize effect. do you think it would be better for the NHL if they had more teams. the closer you can get a team to each other the more people would travel to the away games you know kind of like the miner league teams. I believe the NHL needs to reduce from 8 to 6 in the number of games between division opponents and add games against the other divisions. 8 is too much within the division, imo. fromthetop2
Ohmygoshdandy, do you know what that might mean? That would force those teams from Eastern Canada to actually, potentially, come to this dirty little outpost and play a game. Think of the shame, the humiliation, the dishonor! Hockey Night in Canada would rather run reruns of the Iditarod instead. What in the name of Rocket Richard are you thinking? Having to play in the Western side of the NHL (similar situation for the Sounds) does us no favors. Natural rivals like Atlanta, Carolina, Tampa and Miami have never been allowed to develop. Add that having Pittsburgh, NYR, the Isles, Bruins or Flyers would be great gate draws. People just have a real hard time getting geeked up about Vancouver, Edomonton, or Calgary. So in essence, I guess what I'm saying is that it is the Canadian teams fault we don't draw well. Yea, that works for me

We should be playing home and home with Atlanta, carolina...at least....Maybe if Chicago was better but that isn't the point.... Those other teams need to be coming here or at least change the Edmontons and calgarys for a Rangers or Toronto every once and a while. Now this year, with, Lets go win the Cup, PK (that is ACTUALLY what he told their media ... (lol) going to St Louis those games may draw better as I want to see his head on a platter. No doubt, the NHL should try the NFL way of round robin scheduling.
