UT FANS UNITE!!!

Recommended Posts

Here’s a point of view from a football fan with no dog in this SEC fight.

Tennessee (and the SEC Conference as a whole) plays a wonderful brand of football. I commend the talented players and loyal supporters of the SEC.

I think the "Tennessee Haters" would quit bringing up all the instances of Tennessee’s alleged NCAA violations if the Tennessee fans would quit responding. Ignore all the Tennessee bashing and allegations of wrong-doing. Things will be taken care of only by those people who have the where-with-all to prove or disprove any infractions.

There are callers who call in on a daily basis to the Knoxville area radio sports talk shows who hate everything about Tennessee… i.e., Bama Fever, JB, JC, etc. Do you think those folks would keep calling every, single, darn day if everyone would quit responding to their predictable Tennessee-hating comments? I think they call in every day for the sole purpose of hearing what kind and how many responses they will get from the Tennessee fans. I strongly suggest… ignore them and maybe they will go away.

Being a fan of another conference, I hate to admit that I enjoy watching Tennessee Football. But, I watch Tennessee football hoping they will lose just so I can hear all the Tennessee fans’ comments on the sports talk radio programs come Monday. "Fire the coach! Fire the Offensive Coordinator! Why can’t them boys play pass defense? What were those linebackers thinking? It was an ESPN conspiracy! Peyton Manning was robbed! What are them coaches teaching them boys over there?"

So what, if some people hate Tennessee. They will always hate Tennessee. They will always want bad things to happen to Tennessee. Let the "Tennessee Haters" talk and "Tennessee Fans" quit responding! Let the "Tennessee Haters" pick that scab… just don’t let them see you bleed!

You completely missed my point.

I was bringing up some past comments of Tennessee fans.

I am not "crying" about anything.

Bottom-line in my previous post: TN fans should stop whining and/or stop responding to negative TN comments and maybe everyone would stop picking on them.

Are you catching on yet?

UT fans are too stubborn. Let the investigation go on and see what happens. Everyone is all up on ESPN every since the trailer park remark, but UT fans are a little annoying at times and let the Peyton Manning thing go for goodness sakes. UT fans get on everyones nerves.

If UT would shut the heck up and play football and not choke they might be alright! Last year after beating Florida there was a bigger celebration than winning the national championship! Sure beating Florida is a big thing, but it's not the main concern, winning the Sears trophy is! I am not much of a college football fanatic myself, I am a Kentucky basketball fan, yes yes bring your insults, and being a UK fan we realize that its not about the petty wins and losses, only about the big trophy, the banner, and meeting the president! Tennessee can beat us every single year till the end of time, but as long as in the end we get the title of National Champions, it won't matter! UT fans and players need to get past that beating Florida is a big thing, and think more along the lines of winning a national championship, maybe then, once they strive for a higher goal, they will be successful. Kentucky fans every year expect to be the best, believe we are the best, and we expect to be National Champions, every year that we don't win the title is a disappointment. Expecting that much means you have to live up to a lot, therefore the players as a whole strive harder, maybe Tennessee should try it!? They should also try getting rid of the safe defense!

i don't totally disagree with you maryville rebels. but i could have sworn ut had alreday gone to that national championship level. in fact i could have sworn they had won a title since ky's heralded bb team.there may have been a time when we needed advice from kentucky basketball but that time has passed.

Animal,

I am so sorry. I apologize to you. I did not realize there was a rule that only high school sports could be talked about on CoachT.com.

But, You read it and You responded. Why would you even log in to a thread entitled "UT Fans Unite"?

It is quite easy to change the channel if you don't like what you're watching.

    • Shopping? His family is loaded and he's 6'6 I'm pretty sure he could start anywhere in upper East TN,So no need to shop. Word is Witten got caught trying to work him out on campus and some 7 on 7 while playing athletics for Sullivan East. Word got around pretty quick and Someone turned them into TSSAA.
    • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL
