Pool A: Page, Soddy Daisy, Summertown, Mt. Juliet

Pool B: Goodpasture, Harding Acad., Loretto, Karns

There will be both Gold and Silver brackets - Schedule to be revised

 

There will be 8 teams in the Gold Bracket at the start with the losers of the quarter-final matches going to the Silver Bracket where they will be placed according to their finish in pool play. - This is subject to change

 

Additional Info:

 

Courts 1 and 2 are in the Ringstaff gym located on the right side of the school

Court 3 is in the main school near the lobby.

 

A full consession stand will be available at the Ringstaff gym

A trainer will be available all day Sat, but will not be there Friday because of football

Each team will need a scorekeeper and an adult line judge

Each team will need to bring their own warm-up balls

No coolers allowed

Admission is $6

T-Shirts are $15 and other volleyball apparel will be avaiable as well.

Seems like an epidemic. I hope these teams that are dropping out at the last minute don't plan to play in too many tournaments next year because, believe me, word is getting around. Some folks were talking about it in the gym the other night and were saying they wouldn't invite "so-and-so HS" because they couldn't be relied upon to show up... We HAD a waiting list in August but by the time the teams dropped out in September those teams were no longer available. I have heard these stories all season--just about every tournament has had last minute cancellations...I don't get it.

See my latest post. We have an opening next week. You are right, don't let these teams back in next year. A team that drops before the season is one thing but a week before the tournament is BAD BUSINESS!!!! Can you say blackball!!!

Teams that dropped out of the WC Fall Fling are Mt Juliet Christian and Hillsboro...MJCA dropped out last Friday (one week) and Hillsboro dropped out on Monday (4 days prior).

I believe the common denominator, at least with MT ball, is coaching changes. If I'm not mistaken, every team that's dropped that comes from MT had a change-out in the last year. This is probably better served in its own topic, but I do believe the best solution is a non-refundable deposit or outright payment in full. Non-refundable 50% up front and the balance on arrival. Those on the waiting list get the 50% discount courtesy of the dropping school.
