Columbia Post 19 defeated Bayamon, Puerto Rico 13-5 in the Southeast Region to advance to Bartlessville, Okla. During the eight-team double elimination tournament Post 19 compiled a 4-1 record. Manager Mickey McKeel said it's a dream come true. "Winning the Southeast Region fulfills the dream he had when he became manager."Columbia Post 19 (53-10) is scheduled to play Friday at 4:30pm against Rockport (30-10) from the Great Lakes region. In the top of the seventh, Columbia Post 19 pitcher Scott Beasley strikes out the side! For Columbia Jon Ivie grounds out to third to lead off the inning. Chris Hale doubles to the left field corner. His two-bagger is followed by Matt Hartsfield's RBI double to right center scoring Hale and its 9-3 Columbia. Pomeroy with 2 on flies out to center for the second out. Chase Birdwell with Hartsfield at second reached on a base-on-balls. Chris Lovett hits a towering fly ball to the third baseman to end the inning. Sixth more outs remained for Eden Prairie as the game moved to the eighth. In the eighth Minn would send their # 9,1 and 2 batters to the plate and scores one run cutting the Columbia lead 9-4. With runners at first and second Chris Hale doubles off the left field wall scoring Pratt and Ivie 11-4 Tennessee. It was Post 19's 12th hit of the game. Hartsfield flies out to end the 8th. Eden Prairie's first batter hits to third as Chris Lovett goes to his knees and throws out the runner at first. Chris was hit by the ball on the play, but stayed in the game.
