Henry County vs Northside

Here is what I saw, I saw officials call a game different becasue of the score being lopsided, I saw it at Brighton, I saw it a JCM and I saw itagainst Munford too. It along with a dropped snap from a punter changed the momentum of a game, nto the focus of the game. Norhtside gained momentum due to a ridiculous PI call and then the Patriots gave Northside more momentum by dropping a perfect snap to the punter. The punter may have lost focus but the Patriots did not. The Patriots weathered the storm and won. THe Patriots had over 200 yards rushing and the Indians had like 108, total yards Henry county was around 350 and the Indians were around 230, The most important stat was Henry county never had less points than the Indians, never. The Indians took advantage of a short field a few times. They played well but in the end they must win this week to make the playoffs.

I too was disappointed with the crowd.

I cant stand listening to you guys. How arrogant you are. Instead of giving Northside any credit you make excuses about momentum and bad calls and why you didnt mercy rule northside. Do you want to hear the rest of the story. Well here it is. Northside had a game plan going into the game. During the game they saw that a couple of people were not playing responsibility and at half they made some changes in personel. Henry County had 330 yards total offense on the night. 265 yards came in the first half. Only 65 yards in the second. You want to talk about momentum . How about the first pick for Henry Co. Henry Co. had a d-end that was way offside on that play and it wasnt called. Almost hit the olineman. Just take the win for what it was. A win versus a good team. People make comebacks in sports everyday and it isnt always the officials, a let down by the players, or because the fans arent yelling loud enough in the stands the reason for the comeback. Sometimes the other team figures it out and make a go of it. Good luck the rest of the season. I would love to see you guys again in the playoffs.

HC won the first half, NS won the second half. Fans got their monies worth, it was almost like 2 games in one with an intermission in between. Certainly glad HC got the final curtain call.

Both teams have a challenge this week. HC goes for a title against the other HC team and NS attempts to make the playoffs against Liberty. Best of Luck to NS.

You are correct about the "no call" on the offsides. Henry County had a bad call on one pass interference. The officiating was a "wash". Northside played much better in the second half, than in the first. Henry County regrouped and won the game by outplaying Northside in the final five minutes of the game. You are a little unrealistic if you don't believe momentum changed after the break and Henry County relaxed after going up 34-7. The game changed on a dropped snap by the punter that was perfect, and Northside's adjustments at halftime had nothing to do with that. That being said, Northside is to be commended for whipping Henry County for much of the second half, and for not giving up when down by 27. Northside has a good team and should make the playoffs.

I, unfortunately, had to leave during the outage because my youngest had an early game on Saturday so I needed to get him home. In the game I saw during the first half HC scored off of 2 NS turnovers: an interception and a fumble. Yes, NS fans feel that without those the game would have been different, but that is how it goes, you MUST take care of the ball. What many people don't know is that this is the QB's 2nd year to play organized football, so as he learns more about the game he can only improve.

HC did a good job of keeping Mann well below his average, but , as I said earlier, I think HC gained some respect for our back.

I have always had respect for the HC faithful - they post more on this site than any other team probably. I was shocked about how sparse the stands were considering it was senior nite and all. And the HC fan that walked under the visitor's bleachers to blow his air horn needs to get a life. But HC fans have always been loyal to their team. Who else would sit in the driving rain last year at NS like you all did. Even after the PA announcer suggested you move to the home side so the rain would not be blowing in your face, you stayed in your stands behing your team.

I really got on this site hoping to find congrats from both sides on a game well played and best wishes on their lfinal games so that both teams might meet again in the playoffs, but I did not find that. So I will say:

Congrat's to HC on a good region win. Good luck next week against Munford. I hope to meet up with you again in the playoffs.

Congrats to NS for having a great showing against the #4 team in the state. Take care of business against Libertyand enjoy your time in the playoffs.

I agree that Northside did have something to do with the comeback, I do not agree that Northside had anything to do with the Punter dropping the snap (and theat is where the momentum came from). You mention the yardage gained in each half as if that means anything, the total was dominated by Henry county as West TN football said. Northside deserves credit for playing hard but where I come from stats are for losers, when someone has to start saying look what we did on the stat sheet, it generally means that they lost. Henry county dominated the game and Northside made a good push late, but the first 3 quarters were Henry coutys. Yes offiiciating was terrible on both sides

One more thing, I hope you gus do well in the playoffs, but have you clinched a playoff birth yet? Coach Massy has done an outstanding job there and the coaches and players deserve a lot of credit regardless of how their season ends. A little momentum from you guys in the end may be exactly what the Patriots need to push forward with great

With out a doubt Henry county gained respect for the #45, but everyone already new he was an explosive player, I think that Henry county gained more respect for the rest of the Northside team and how far their program has advanced. They were a good team on Firday and they deserve the old you played well boys speech that drove me nuts as a player when we lost. Henry coutny knows they were in a battle Firday night and that should please NS, but Henry coutny outplyaed NS and deserves their praise as well.

IMO NS has improved so much during this season that if we played all year like we are now, last Friday nite would have been for region title instead of this Friday nite. NS does graduate some good lineman, but it seems like the team is built up enough now that there are more to take their place. It is our linebackers that will take the biggest hit. But we keep our QB, Mann, and his back-up, who prob should be getting a lot more time now. I think it would be great to see Mann and Cole both out of the back field - that would keep the defense on their toes.

The title of this post is disciplined vs. undisciplined. I think it depends on which half you saw Friday nite as to which team you're referring to.

I was standing at field level almost in line with the line of scrimmage at the time of the ''offside". The end moved but I am not convinced that he invaded the neutral zone. Obviously the linesman didn't think so.I was very impressed with NS in the second half. They made good adjustments, fought hard, and never gave up. They are a much better team than I expected and certainly wish then well in their efforts to make the play offs which they should do. Mann is The Man --every bit as good as advertized. # 40 played great as did many others. HC could learn from NS's grit and determination. Munford's dismantling of Kingsbury should dispel the claims of our region's weakness which heretofore I had ascribed to. Our teams,Northside included, have a chance to do well in the playoffs.

    • I was asked about this untrue speculation last night at our banquet(and several times over the last few weeks) which has been circulating on this website and through word of mouth. I am not taking the Rockvale job, nor have I even interviewed for that job or ANY other job since coming to Tullahoma. I have no desire to leave Tullahoma, my family and I love it here. We are committed to building our Lady Cats basketball program. I wanted to make sure our players, parents and stakeholders didn't get mixed messages from what I have continued  to communicate from day one and the untrue speculations of me leaving.  Coach Hibdon As stated above and I will add for clarification. This includes Blackman, we have no desire to leave Tullahoma, go back to Rutherford Co (even Blackman) or ANYWHERE else. There has been speculation from day 1 that I may be leaving for another job particularly RuCo and I have had to address the speculations many times. So I felt it necessary to make a statement for the basketball community and mostly our Ttown community to hear my commitment again amongst these constant rumors. We love this community, love living by the lake and no desire to move our 3rd grader and 6th grader from this school system. I wanted to make these statements for all those who are invested and interested in Lady Cats Basketball that my family and I are committed to being a part of Tullahoma High and the Tullahoma community for many years.
    • Well well well,  It was just a matter of time before the wheels fell plumb off the dragon wagon, and that pos  is sittin' over on highway 61 #### up in the ditch.   I called it 2 years ago everybody thought it was so cute with the church van and the K-town basement boys.   And here we are.  This is about to get fugly.  It's a mess and it's about to go public.   Investigators are just now scratching the surface.  Stay tuned.  Watch the news in the next few nights. Just when you thought you had seen it all, here we go......................
    • I am betting on that one too. They will rock 4A. Many don't see it coming.
    • So Reado left because Smith left? That seems like Smith just pulled the rug out from under him and left Reado hanging. Why didn't Reado just stay on and coach O-Line. I am sure he could have done a great job. He has been successful before at CAK and Grace Christian of Knoxville. Is private Christian School coaching that much different than coaching public school, and it also being BHS at that?
