I'm sure all of those guys are good, but I would still take Powers over any of them. He hit 6 or more threes in 6 freshmen games last year. He was 8-11 against Oak Ridge. You will all see before it's all said and done. Just remember you heard it hear first.

The Maryville two guard's name is Wes Lambert, and yes he can shoot.

I will remember that...... but also remember that it is freshman basketball that you are talking about. There becomes a real difference in just spotting up and catching and shooting in freshman versus being able to work for your own shot off the dribble from 3. Also it is much easier when you got a guy coming at you that is at max 6'1 or 6'2 versus a MAN that is 6'6 or 6'7 in the varsity level. Also my grandmother could stand there with nobody guarding her and make 60 out of 100 three's. There is a big difference in shooting with nobody guarding you and in the lights of a game. The guys that I have given you are proven shooters. They have and will get it done in the lights. Only time will tell for this young kid. So for now I think I leave him off. But I will be waiting to hear from him.

Here are my best shooters in ALL of EAST TENN.

1. Isaac Snapp (EAST)

2. Daryl Florence (Austin East)

3. Todd Halvorsen (DB)

4 Dustin McConnell (DB)

5. Maryville 2 guard forgot his last name.

6. Josh Odem (Science Hill)

7. Jason Seymore Powell.. (I think)

Snapp can fill it up... good addition to the list.

Maryville 2 guard that can stroke it is Wes Lambert. He is another guy that can catch fire from 3. A couple more I thought of were Slusher from Grace and Michael Haynes from Heritage.

All right fair enough. Hope to hear from him. Is he playing varsity this season?? AND YES! Wes Lambert is the player from Maryville that can shoot very well.

Snapp is the top #1. And my #2 is tight after him. My #3 and #4 are close together. Then after that the rest of my guys are close and in a bundle.

Yeah I agree with Fanofall. Though Powers may be a great shooter, there is a BIG difference in the level of Varsity and Freshman. How tall is he?

My list goes......

1. Snapp (Sullivan East)

2. Florence (Austin East

3. McConnell (Dobyns Bennett)

4. Halvorsen (Dobyns Bennett)

5. Lambert (Maryville)

6. Odem (Science Hill)

He is 5'5, but like I said if he is open he will make it. The thread was not who are the talest pure shooters it was who are the great shooters in East Tennessee. In all actuality he may not get many shots off, but if he does it's going in.

Jason Rock from Central shoots the 3. If he hits a couple in a row you better make sure someone is in his face the rest of the night,or he will send you home crying.

Also. I am not a hater. But those 2 db guys you mentioned, that only played JV last year. Do they have nerves of steel, because I think I have seen Charlie Morgan psyche some people out. Like get them thinking if they miss a shot they are coming out of the game, that may affect some of these guys with no varsity experience. I am just curious to your opinions on that or if that has any truth to it at all.

Go Cougars!

I didn't mention the fact that Powers was also the leading scorer on JV last season for the Panthers. He scored 20+ many times making 5 and 6 threes in several JV appearances. If he had been physically ready he would have played more and possibly started on varsity. If his body catches up with his skill he will be tremendous. Only time will tell

    • Laughable, your the one that got on CoachT looking for a show. Vetetoe drank his "tea" and needs to live with the consequences. Thats the thing most coaches teach is "Accountability". West brings most of it upon his self he practices middle school kids for 3 and a half hours a day and burns them out before they even get to high school. You know the old saying a house divided cant stand. BOE vs DOS in the courts , Middle vs High (running 2 different programs that don't sync together), Footballwatch vs anyone who talks about his family , Cam615 vs Reggie. Scary times we are living in and will not see the daylight for 3 or 4 years.
    • See that’s where you’re wrong my friend. If I was West, I would have made sure y’all stopped talking all that nonsense about my family months ago. You’d be scared to see my face or hear my name. You’ve got the wrong man. My kids still go to trousdale county schools and plan on staying. Lets be the Mr. Police you’re supposed to be and stop causing more problems than there already is.

    • Congratulations to Coach Runyon. He seemed to do a good job when I watched his teams play. He didn't coach like he was ready to retire. With that being said... both coaching positions in the same district open... which one of these jobs is the best job and why?  also, it is a coincidence that they both leave at the same time...
