agianst william blounts defense offenses have thrown for 2 touchdowns and 700 yards....1 touchdown and 250 of those yards coming agianst maryville

 

 

see now that is what I am looking for. Saying that right there would make me think they can stop the pass alot more than just saying they have the most interceptions. that stat you just gave is actually relly impressive. giving up around 70pass yds per game and only having given up 2tds in 10 games is great. I wish I could say the same for Farragut... I think everyone in east tn knows the secondary is where Farragut is the weakest. I am not trying to make this about Farragut.. . I do think WB has one of the best overall defenses in the state. I think their run defense took a huge hit during the Farragut game, but hasn't given up nearly as many yards since then. Is Sterling still the only back to have over 100yds against them this year? WB has a great team and I would much rather lose to them in the 3rd round than Bearden, just because Bearden is a crazy rivalry, plus I think WB is twice as good or better than Bearden. I do not know a whole lot about WBs offense, but I don't really see there being a reason why even if the offense had a bad night WB would not win this game. When I saw Campbell Co. play in their first playoff game a few years ago I was shocked at how they got 2nd in their region. I don't want to say tehre was no talent, but for them have been 2nd was just crazy. I don't see Campbell Co. keeping up with the talent at WB.

What an ugly game... It's a win... but it was ugly...

 

12 penalties for 130 yds. against the Govs... Most came on personal fouls.. It appears that shoving someone away that is attacking your "personals" is a "personal" foul but attacking someones "personals" is not... /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

 

The rythyme of the game was just plain weird... CC was wanting to shorten the game but much more disrupting was the rythyme of the officiating crew... They didn't appear to function well as a group and the "antics".... ??????

They seemed to be slow at setting up the ball on change of posession and first downs. They seemed to disrupt the flow of the game .... My only comment for them would be if they start seeing a rash of pushing after play and one team continually recieving " personal" fouls ... They might want to search for the "root" cause..

Good job to the Defense... Gave up only 63 yds. I think.. Newspaper listed 13yds. rushing on 33 attemps....

Ditto to the offense.... Balanced # rushing/passing..... Struggled early... Pulled it together....

Plus, I cannot stand refs that want to be the center of attention when making a call. The head ref was so deliberate in his calls that he acted biased and flamboyant when he signaled the call. They should teach refs to ref the game and let the kids be the stars, not some attention-starved zebra. He had some sort of self-esteem issues.
