In each of the past three years, Gallatin has lost to a region 6 team (Ravenwood twice and Brentwood) that runs a spread offense with a highly mobile QB, good running back, and fast receivers. Each of these Region 6 teams also had very good defenses, especially against the run.

In each of those years, Gallatin was either a one or two seed from Region 5 playing a much lower seeded team. This year the situation is reversed.

In case you Green Wave fans don't know it, Independence will bring this exact same scheme against you this Friday night. Unless Gallatin has made a big shift in their offensive sets and defensive capabilities this year, they are in for a long night against Indy.

Same song, fourth verse.

Somebody tell me for real, was this game REALLY as bad as the score indicates?

It was never close. Indy scored on I believe its fourth or fifth play from scrimmage on a 41-yard pass. Gallatin looked completely inept offensively...nothing worked and it didn't even look like they understood the concept of a forward pass. Scott Pettigrew at defensive end (which he has never played before) was an absolute monster and destroyed the GHS tackle on EVERY play.

Indy passed and ran at will...Heckman could've had 400 yards if he wanted to and Pettigrew could've easily rushed for 200.

Offensive play calling and game planning was light years ahead of the GHS staff. Very impressive performance for the Eagles all around. 8 penalties is too many, however.

That's surprising that Gallatin got beat that bad, Indy must have a really talented team. Good luck to them throughout the playoffs, they will have a tough one this Friday.

Indy does have a talented team, however it was the lack thereof in the Gallatin team that lead to the lopsided victory by Indy. I will say it looked like the Gallatin team had a lot of youth.

Gallatin's game planning has been behind for years. Some how most people can figure that out in one viewing but for others it takes a string of losing seasons I guess. We'll see.

Gallatin did have a lot of youth! Even the seniors that played this year, with the exception of 2 or 3, stood on the sidelines the two previous years; unlike the Indy seniors that have played together the previous three years. That's the coaching staff's fault and it really hurt this team this year. Fortunately, many of the kids that will return next season will have actual game experience now.

Since this is your first visit to the playoffs you will be execused from your ignorance. A whole new season starts on Friday the past 10 games are over. Its 50/50 and thats about as good as chance as you got so take it and hope for the best. There WILL be upsets friday and your team has a good as a chance at being upset as any team out there.

Good luck to your seniors because they will need a boat load of it as all the teams out there will.

wow INDY made ur gallatin boys look like they were the powderpuff team

    • The winds of change are blowing in Hartsville.     Will be an interesting follow.    Would go back to the 90s and turn black the clock!
    • Did he promise you a coordinator job or something if he ever got a head coaching job? He resigned? He was at the top of the dugout last night calling plays. I wonder if those 30+ parents would let him give their kids a ride. by the way the board meeting was last night and it was not mentioned. must have been at the work session earlier this week which is not public. must be trying to keep it quiet.  Since you know so much, how much is Robbie Atwood willing to pay Adam Cothron?  Didn't you slander Eden earlier on here? You also didn't know he was a faculty coach again so how much do you really know? Some people outside this county baffle me with their need to slander others.
    • He resigned smh, and have you ever heard of charged but not convicted. Some people in this county baffle me with their need to slander others. Have you asked any of the 30+ parents that signed a petition to get him reinstated at the board meeting this week how they feel about this? Just let it play out, at the end of the day the only people that will bring TC back are the ones that know what its about at its core.    People hate losing and they aren't used to it at TC. I for 1, and I'm sure others too, understand having a dip in talent and not being able to compete for a state title every year. But in the past, TC teams have outworked more talented teams, they didn't continuously lose the turnover battle, they didn't commit 8+ penalties in several games each season, and I believe several of the folks in town that want Blake out feel as if he is neglecting the history of the program. This is from a source that used to be extremely close to the program (not me lol), Blake gets out of school midday and the players show up and there is no practice plan or itinerary.  I also understand those that are on team Blake, when he has loads of talent, he wins. He does know football and he is a tremendous DC, and if the rumors are true then he will do great things. As for the board member issue, it is what it is, everyone that's true to the county know that and nothing has changed. I agree though that they should strive to make the facilities as good as we can. And as far as potential candidates, I agree there is very few options. West, Vetetoe (yes I know), and couple others that could have some interest. Whatever happens is massive for the program during a pivotal time before the next big wave of stars make their way through.
