northside vs. melrose

This NS fan is just sick because I cannot attend the game tonight. Unfortunately, that means that NS best ballman is not going to be there either - his football team plays its bowl game tonight. I hate to miss the tailgate party - I think it sounds great. And for those NS fans who didn't go to the East game last year at OM, you are in for a big surprise. What you hear is right...DO NOT eat before you get there, because if you do the smell of the grills will drive you crazy and you will just wind up eating again. Best of luck to North Side....Go Indians !!!

Anybody see any stats on this game? I didn't see them in the Sat. paper. I'm interested in seeing how many yards Mann was able to get against the Melrose 'D'.

He had just over 100 yards. Melrose definately had the best Defense we faced all year. We moved the ball well but could not score once inside the 10. Their speed and tackling kept Mann from breaking the big one for a score. Northside had it inside Melrose 10 four or five times and couldnt get in. The big turn came in the third quarter on Northsides second drive when it was 8-0 Melrose. Northside drove it down and had third and fourth and goal from about three inches and did not get in. Melrose then put a 99 yard drive together and scored on the last play of the third quarter to make it 16-0. All Melrose in the 4th quarter.
