Carey Leiper is not a MF for Notre Dame. She is and has always been a forward.

Carey is a forward, both for High School and Club. The other starting forward for ND was Kris Cambron. Megan and Kate were outside Mid's, Darcy and Danielle were Center Mid's. Hope Mongiello, Casey Gorman, Caitlyn Clifford, and Christina Pagnani were forwards who generally came in off the bench.

It seems you have left out any mention of players in DIIA in your DII list. There are players on those teams that are deserving of all-state accolades as well.

Their are alot of great players that have had wonderful seasons but the best player in TN is Susannah Dennis from BGA hands down.

 

The Good News is Georgia is getting a great player!

The Bad News is she is only a junior and still has a season left for the rest of us to play against!

Let me first say that I'm extremely biased, so please keep this in mind as you read. I can't keep myself from stating that all-state honors should also be a consideration for three other key players from FRA.

 

First, Kaitlyn Smith whose amazing work in the midfield results in both goals that she makes herself as well as in assists for others. She tirelessly works to make things happen, and you can always tell when she's not on the pitch.

 

Second, Emily Canady, the senior goalkeeper whose confident presence is a steadying force for the entire field. Her quick reflexes, strong hands and smart decision-making prevented many a goal throughout the season and helped win the game in PKs during the semi-final against Notre Dame.

 

Third, Kaitie McDonald, a quiet but commanding force in defense (District MVP). She can dribble all the way through players from front to back to make goals and is the primary corner kick target. But more importantly, is one of the main reasons CPA never scored on FRA, as she was in charge of marking and shutting down their key forward.

 

I also have to give accolades to the two others already mentioned by mjuhb, Tory and Logann, both highly visible players who have heart and a dogged determination to win. Your place on the list is deserved and unquestionned.

 

Importantly, these five didn't do it by themselves, as all FRA players contributed. So thank you for a great year and for bringing home the win! Great job. We're all so proud of you.
