I would love to hear how the refs explained this after going to the replay...It just looks so easy to say the clock stopped and she got fouled after the horn should of sounded....

 

I'm not enamored with Rutgers and am not especially a Vivian Stringer fan but you almost have to feel sorry for them because of the effort they gave to make their comeback and then hit that shot after the two threes by the Lady Vols had given them back the lead...I'll put it this way,If I were a Rutgers fan and that happened to my team,I would be furious.....And did you notice that when Rutgers inbounded the ball,the clock still didn't move??..It never went to .00...

 

Now just a little food for thought....Just imagine if this very same thing would have happened in a Tennessee/UConn game in Stoors,CT in favor of the Lady Huskies...Do you think there would have been this much talk brought up about it??...Especially by ESPN??...Something to think about...

While I do not advocate cheating of any kind, I do think that it is probably more evening things out over time. If C. Vivian Stringer wants to claim that there's never any home cookin' on her floor, she can sell that crap to someone who will buy it. We'll get our share of bad calls in the long run. Get voer it, get ready fort he tourney, I'm sure we'll see Rutgers again.

While I do not advocate cheating of any kind, I do think that it is probably more evening things out over time. If C. Vivian Stringer wants to claim that there's never any home cookin' on her floor, she can sell that crap to someone who will buy it. We'll get our share of bad calls in the long run. Get voer it, get ready fort he tourney, I'm sure we'll see Rutgers again.

 

That is true rcombs but it's still kind of "dirty" and un-Lady Vol-like....Sure there is home cooking at Rutgers,nobody is being so naive to think that there is no home cooking....Consider this for all those conspiracy theorists..The clock operator is a ref,not a parent of Candace Parker.. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> ...So,I don't think there was any W.W.E. ending where it was scripted that UT was to win....If UT & Rutgers do meet up in the tourney the Lady Vols will do to them like they did last season in the championship...I'm sure as long as Pat Summitt has been coaching she has had games where she thought was taken away from her by different things,so I'm sure to that extent things evened up a little....

 

This is also different than the 'Nova-Georgetown game last....The foul that was called 70 ft from the basket on 'Nova,although you can say shouldn't be called at that time of the game,was a foul and would be called a foul if there was 15 minutes left in the half...If it is foul then,it's a foul at the end...The only time in recent memory where that wasn't called a foul was in last Saturday's UT-L.S.U. game where the Tiger player bodied-up to Ramar Smith(I believe it was Smith) running down the sideline and knocked Smith down but the ball was called out on UT and L.S.U. got the ball...

Man that Rutgers game seems like last year now...

 

Can't say enough about Coach Pat,her staff and her team....

 

Chance to get #8 tonite and back-to-back at that....

 

Hate it for Geno....NOT!!

I just feel better knowing they made it further than UCONN /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Tonight is gonna be a tough game for them....with Parker still injured and not 100% the other players HAVE to step up in order to win. If they have as sloppy of a game as they had with LSU...it is over. Can't miss the 2 ft. shots and have to rebound. Wiggins will show no mercy. 1 hour to go...I can't wait!!!!! GO LADY VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Yeah, I don’t see that AC situation ending well. Let’s be real, AC is a super redneck school, always has been. Inner city boys and rednecks just don’t generally mix well, if you get my drift. Before it’s all said and done, there will be drama. As I’ve said before, people will sell their souls to win football games. It’s crazy.

      Hard to believe that it’s two kids from The McCallie School, and one each from Dobyns Bennett and The Baylor School.  I really thought a couple of other kids would have made the podium this year.

      I have said it many times before, Coach Phillips stated awhile back; "We coach players that want to be ROADRUNNERS!"  Even if they takes their lumps and bruises and its been bruises the last couple of years, they're still not going to recruit players.  If they stay, LETS GO!  If they leave, SEE YA LATER!  IT's HARD BEING A ROADRUNNER!     Fulton was tough back in the days when they won 3 titles, no argument there.   AC-  I think they beat Alcoa this year , Alcoa isn't all that and they will take their bumps and bruises this year. They won't cake walk 4A and I agree those parents will turn on the coach because they're playing outside kids
