Would "same building" be considered Campus as in the case with schools such as Columbia Academy? I know they have 8th graders practicing with them and will scrimmage a little later in the week.

Ronnie Carter emailed me this "Students in another building cannot go through any kind of practice.". I'm not sure if he meant the actual building since some bigger HSs have several buildings tied together with breezeways and such or whether he actually meant the same school/campus. If my 8th graders were not in the same building I would definitely get a written ok from Mr Carter before allowing them to participate in Spring practice. IF CA's 8th graders are in a separate building they may be in violation based on what Mr Carter stated. They may want to self report to keep out of bigger problems if they are turned in

The rule is that if an 8th grader is on the same campus, which means he is governed by the same principle as the high school then he can participate. This rule could be modified soon.

Unfortunately that is not what Ronnie Carter said and since he is "The Man" I would be very careful. It is not spelled out anywhere in the bylaws. I do think this should be clarified one way or another and I told Ronnie so.

the guy is correct if the middle school students are under the same principal they can play or practice. many schools have more than one building. call back and check with grand poobah again and he will clarify it for you. back to the topic i thought huntland looked decent considering their were missing three starters with injuries. It was a fun day for all i hope all the coaches will do it again next year.

Yeah Huntland looked ok and 3 starters will make a difference. The top 5 teams at the event in my opinion, and in no particular order, were Mt. Pleasant, Wayne Co, Collinwood, White House Heritage, and Eagleville. I'll admit I didn't get to see much of Perry Co, MTCS or Cornersville so one of them may have swayed my top 5. It was an awsome day for football, butiful weather not to hot and a little breeze, oh man. Hope it's just the same next year.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
