What happened Father Ryan?! You guys were really confident that you were going to dominate d2..

Overall we played probably our worst game of the season. The defense wasn't holding well and the offense was not great either, although we did have over 40 shots. Hopefully there will be a rematch of this game in the state championship. I give credit to Brentwood, they played a really good game, but I think that game could go either way on any given day.

Um i would not say I was shut down. I had 2 goals 1 assist and 3 ground balls. Look, david played great and like fr12 said we did get 40 shots. We just didn't put them in. Our defense didn't play well. I give credit to Brentwood as well, they played great and we didn't. I am looking forward to a rematch too. Oh, and we have more than just 3 players....

who are our three players?...cause im pretty sure when we were talking about impact players the brentwood players were all naming off the same three players from there team every time..you are obviously ignorant and should not be posting on here.and with the exception of brentwood we have dominated d2...underdogg

I figured it would have been a little closer than that, anyone see it? Did Ryan have all their players healthy?

ok LXFAN you obviously know nothing about lacrosse. Franklin moved up to D1 for a reason. Father ryan didn't stand a chance from the begining. Ryan is a good team, but not good enough to hang with D1. Ryan had all of their top players, but franklin's defense easily shut down their only play.

    • Personally I was pulling for Lee Hammonds to get another shot. He’s earned it!
    • Tyler Williams was the logical choice to be named head football. He served as the Highlanders’ strength coach and offensive coordinator.
    • I went to practice yesterday and liked what I saw for the most part. Derek and crew have done a good job during the off-season. I was very impressed with the size of some of those boys on the offensive line. My only regret was one of the boys I was really pulling for to have a good year was dismissed from the team. I have to applaud the coaches for setting examples for the others, no one is bigger than the team. One other thing, I was hoping with that big rain we got this week some of that  yellow paint would dissolve but it didn't.
    • Couple of thoughts: 1.  I just don't understand all the intricacies in TSSAA transfer rules anymore.    William Blount had a kid that played the final part of the basketball season with them this year,  that played at Hardin Valley last year, and played football for Bearden this year.  I say that to say, I know the coaches and the AD and the Principal at WB and I will never believe they would do something they knew was wrong.  They are men of character.  I BELIEVE the same thing about the coaches and administration at Maryville.  Call me gullible, but these are men and women of integrity in my experiences with them. 2.  Much like the transfer of the Clemmer kid a couple of years ago, with Smith, the football team is getting a huge boost, but the impact on the basketball team will be just as great or maybe even greater.  With Smith playing post, it frees the Sigmund kid who will be coming back from injury, to play more with his face to the basket.  The Rebels basketball squad in my mind, will be "the program" in East Tennessee next year.
    • Could not agree more. After this year, McKenzie's new coach will have their work cut out for them. Staying in 1A would definitely be a huge plus. Most years there is not much difference in the top 5- 1A and 2A teams across the state, but after the top 5 or so there is normally a huge drop off for 1A. Regular season region play is a lot easier for 1A in West TN  right now.
