Yea, Go Reds....How frustrating. Everytime they get within a couple of games to .500, They go into the tank.

Perez back up with the Cards. Wainwright looks to be brought back as a reliever.

 

I'd personally like to see Perez show he can lock down the closer's role so Wainwright can go to the rotation. Carp/Wainwright/Lohse would be a very nice 1-3 punch down the stretch.

 

Big series this weekend in the Windy City. Don't know why Lohse is throwing today and not tomorrow..... /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

I agree with Carpenter, Wainwright, and Lohse forming a solid front end of the rotation. The bullpen brings back memories of the Brantley days. The series this weekend could be a make of break series for the Cardinals. Like you said, I think they should have at the very least made a move to add some depth to the bullpen. It's just not a good sign to have to move Wainwright to the closer role. It's a desperation move, but if that what it takes to stay in contention..I'm all for it at this point.

Good Point. Wasn't that long ago they limped into the playoffs and won the World Series. The Brewers have been on fire though.
