All teams that played on Sunday played a single elimination format...not double. My only question was why was the 14u class A tourney called for lightning on Saturday night but the 14u B class was allowed to continue to play until 12:50 AM on adjacent fields? Makes no sense to me...

I still don't understand why they couldn't have continued the tourney on Sunday as double elimination. The fields were in excellent shape (at least in the B complex), we started at 11:00, and were done playing the championship by 1:30 pm. I heard someone call USGF the " BR5-49" sanction and I have to say that I couldn't agree more.

We were also playing at the "b" complex. If games remained single elimination and you guys were done at 1:30 then why was Lawernceburg still playing at Mid-night according to another poster?

Class B continued to play Saturday night for some reason until they finally came down to a team with no losses. This was the McKenzie Muddawgs in class B 14u. Their game ended at 12:50am Saturday night. When they decided to go to single elimination that meant that if there was only one team in your class that did not have a loss then they were automatically declared the winner. I'm assuming this is what happened in 16u also. Since they called class A early there were still 4 teams without a loss so they continued it on Sunday in a single elimination format. The fields were in good condition on Sunday, there was no reason it couldn't have continued on in double elimination play. We played 2 games including the championship, received our first place trophy and left the park by 1:30pm. They had this well thought out my friend...they made sure class B ended Saturday night, saved alot of money on umps and made sure the guaranteed number of games were played so refunds would not have to be given.

My daughter picked up with another team this weekend after playing an ASA schedule all summer. Quite a difference in the quality of the tournaments...not in the teams but in the way the tournaments were handled. I'll gladly go back to ASA and the occasional NSA and USFA tournaments.

    • Yea I agree I will say tho I was a big “ v “ fan if an  opening ever did happen I think it would’ve been good to see him have a shot coming from a power house like Oakland. I’m sure he’s learned a lot from Kevin.  I bet he would bring a really good offense scheme IMO But after all this I just dunno anymore.  Whatever happens with the rumors an such if it did come to and opening I think this messes it all up.  The board members dreams are slowly slipping away now. I haven’t lived there for awhile I just hear what I hear, but my question is would there be any good potential candidates?? That’s why I don’t understand why people want b s out so bad who else could do any better ?? IMO there’s nothing attractive about it? As I stated earlier I went to the last game last year and taking a leak in a porta Potty is pretty sad and still nothing being done they say ..
    • I have a sophomore that can do 177 (preferred) or 192. Sent you an email.
    • speaking of board members how can a man get arrested 12 days ago and still be head coaching a team in TC school system? looks like your right about the tc board members. I bet it would be different if they had a kid on the team
