well lets just jc dont have a chance with cr no one will touch

them unless they start havin team problems cause

they have so many all stars on one team

You have to be an all-star to sit on Jim Brown's bench! So I'll go with JC's chances. Thats all I have until November unless someone else gets all confused and in need of guidance. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I heard a rumor, nothing confirmed yet but a rumor that might change everyone's thoughts about who will win District 7A this year. If it proves to be true then the message boards will be lighting up once again! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Her daughter might have been good in middle school, but she isn't now. A point guard has got to be able

to score and get her team good shots. Also a pg has to be able to make free throws at the end of a game when its close and her daughter isn't to good at that. If a pg can make a few shots plus free throws and gets her team good shots that is a pg. As i know of when i watched her play last year she didn't do those things well.

What have you been smoking? Kayla Kimes is the best point guard in District 7A. She makes everyone around her better. Not sure where you watched her play at but she gave JC fits. She just needs a little help around her and i do believe that Clay Co. will be much improved this year. You have to remember that she was just a sophomore last year. I look for big things from her this year, just wait and see. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Good post...Kimes is good! I hadn't saw her in a while but I just cant see her losing God given ability which I thought she had in middle school!

Rumor has it (not confirmed) that JC will be staying in Class A. I'm sure you all were expecting something else as in a "transfer" so sorry to disappoint! /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

This is just an opinion and every one has one Kayla Kimes is a great player I have wached her for several years but I think Sydney Roach sees the floor like no other player that I have watched and trust me I have watched alot of games her shooting ability is fantastic, she is young But I expect lots out of her this year so with Kayla and Sydney you better come to play your A game

Roach is a ball player and it will interesting to see how she will react to playing jrs. and srs. (which I think she will adjust fine)...She and Kimes could be a great combo.

    • Personally I was pulling for Lee Hammonds to get another shot. He’s earned it!
    • Tyler Williams was the logical choice to be named head football. He served as the Highlanders’ strength coach and offensive coordinator.
    • I went to practice yesterday and liked what I saw for the most part. Derek and crew have done a good job during the off-season. I was very impressed with the size of some of those boys on the offensive line. My only regret was one of the boys I was really pulling for to have a good year was dismissed from the team. I have to applaud the coaches for setting examples for the others, no one is bigger than the team. One other thing, I was hoping with that big rain we got this week some of that  yellow paint would dissolve but it didn't.
    • Couple of thoughts: 1.  I just don't understand all the intricacies in TSSAA transfer rules anymore.    William Blount had a kid that played the final part of the basketball season with them this year,  that played at Hardin Valley last year, and played football for Bearden this year.  I say that to say, I know the coaches and the AD and the Principal at WB and I will never believe they would do something they knew was wrong.  They are men of character.  I BELIEVE the same thing about the coaches and administration at Maryville.  Call me gullible, but these are men and women of integrity in my experiences with them. 2.  Much like the transfer of the Clemmer kid a couple of years ago, with Smith, the football team is getting a huge boost, but the impact on the basketball team will be just as great or maybe even greater.  With Smith playing post, it frees the Sigmund kid who will be coming back from injury, to play more with his face to the basket.  The Rebels basketball squad in my mind, will be "the program" in East Tennessee next year.
    • Could not agree more. After this year, McKenzie's new coach will have their work cut out for them. Staying in 1A would definitely be a huge plus. Most years there is not much difference in the top 5- 1A and 2A teams across the state, but after the top 5 or so there is normally a huge drop off for 1A. Regular season region play is a lot easier for 1A in West TN  right now.
