Good luck to the Lady Cats on another run to the finals this year 5-Sport! Sure have missed all the action since Jess graduated, but have kept up somewhat on here.

I'll be hoping for the champion to come out our district but if not it is what it is...

Thanks! Good to hear from you, Jess' Dad. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> Hope things are going good for you and your family.

And I'm hopin' the champ doesn't come out of your district. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Hope all you want, now that Catholic is out there is no one standing in Greenbrier's way. It will be an all green halloween. 5-Sport Dad has predicited a repeat all season and he is going to get his wish. It will be a surprise if Greenbrier drops a game from here on out.

Not true! Show me the quote...and please don't put words in my mouth.

For all to see: We're just playin' one game at a time. Respect all, fear none!

Go Lady Cats!

I will be there i enjoyed watching the girls play last night at watertown. I was really surprised at how quick the final three matches happened. But they looked like there ready for a run at the gold ball again this year. The little number 12 girl caught my attention man she was killing the ball last night. The twins looked awesome as always. Well good luck the rest of the way. Hope you win it all. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Number 12 is Nina Dever. She is the best-all around athlete at Greenbrier, period. Actually, softball is her #1 sport, then basketball, then volleyball. She was Robertson County basketball player of the year this past season(her Sophmore year). Keep up with her in all 3 sports and you will be glad you did. She is a great young lady inside and out. I am not her parent, but definitely one of her biggest fans. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

/roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> If she hits a softball half as good as she hits a volleyball i bet she awesome at it. But I have to say one thing about all the kids and the coach. The ones i talked to at district games were nice friendly and there parents should be proud of them they done a great job raising them. And the coach was friendly and respectful also. Most of the time when a team or coach wins regularly they get that cocky attitude. Its like 5 Sport dad said respect all and fear none that pretty well spells out how they play.Good luck girls we will see yall next year on the court.

I think the "prophecy" that no one is standing in Greenbrier's way is about a 90% given with or without Catholic in the mix. I am, of course, a HUGE Catholic volleyball & school fan, but am not blinded by it. Greenbrier is and has been the BIG and ONLY favorite since winning it all last year. So, the "prophecy" is one everyone else already knew about.

As for the "hope all you want" comment... you obviously don't know me (or maybe as well as you think you do). Anyone who really knows me and the pride I had/have in the Catholic program wouldn't disrespect me or my logically concluded comments about the state tournament now that Cathoic is out of the mix. I respect Coach Jones and his efforts more than even he realizes. Considering the 1.8 mulitiplier, he has done a Superman job developing the talent to compete and win. He has excited the entire school staff/student body in what was before a player's parents only event.

Lastly, thanks...last post!

Good Luck Everyone

Just a"GOOD LUCK" from a Trousdale County Voleyball Mom! I have thoroughly enjoyed watching this team play this year. You have a very talented group of young ladies that I hope to see win back-to-back championships. Can't tell you how thrilling it's ben to see the Arnold twins play the past couple of years. The Lady Cats are a class-act team with a well-respected coach.

By the way, where are the Arnold girls going to college????

As one parent of one player on the team, all I can say is that all of these 'well wishes' are very much appreciated. You never know how you are perceived as a competitor, but your comments help confirm what we teach: Always respect others...especially your opponents. Our girls are not perfect, but they are expected to play hard on the court and to show class and be ladies off of it.

I am proud to be a part of this group of players and parents.

Greenbrier has once again brought home another regional championship. This community is really proud of our girls. They selected an all region team. Congradulations to the Arnold twin towers, always deserving. I was captivated by the lady who asked an old assistant coach how the tournament team was selected. I didn't hear the reply but the lady who asked the question then asked who was on the committee. Once again, I didn't hear the reply. Then the lady who was asking all the questions said, PITIFUL, absolutely PITIFUL. She was all for the TWIN TOWERS selection, but balked at the other choices. Yes I know it is a free country, and not to take away from the honors to the other two players that were selected, but what about the Devers girl? She played a hec of a tournament, was recognized as an all district player. The other player, #32, played a hec of a tourney too. As a spectator, were these committee members watching the same game I was? Then it dawned on me, I'm in Greenbrier, land of the free, home of the "I've got your back!" Don't you just love small towns? Kudos to the woman who had enough backbone to balk the system, and, she had really big hair too.

Way to go Lady CATS!!! Region Champs and climbing the ladder!! Greenbrier is PROUD of you girls!!

(Wish all the Volleyball parents would cheer like that at the Football games!!! )

Huh? Don't go gettin' jealous. They are good, though, ain't they?

Tell you what, you attend the same percentage of matches as the volleyball parents do football games and we'll consider it. Deal? /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Congradulations Greenbrier girls! You make our community proud! There isn't anything standing in your way for a back2back state title. Your fan base is huge and supports you all the way! I agree with catsfan20 about the picks. Nina Dever should have taken home an award but who am I to say. She loves the game, loves her team mates, and always walks with her head high, no matter the circumstances. I know the lady that challenged the picks. She doesn't have a dog in the fight, but finds it nearly impossible not to speak up when an injustice is committed. Doesn't make her right; all through out life we are faced with this. I think she is in desperate need of a haircut. Know any good hairdressers Spikeit2?

    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
    • Shopping? His family is loaded and he's 6'6 I'm pretty sure he could start anywhere in upper East TN,So no need to shop. Word is Witten got caught trying to work him out on campus and some 7 on 7 while playing athletics for Sullivan East. Word got around pretty quick and Someone turned them into TSSAA.
    • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL
