These are the points so far by everyone. Not a prediction of where they will finish.

1. Riverdale 6 - 0 - 0 = 18 points with Siegel left

2. Siegel 5 - 0 - 0 = 15 points with Cookeville and Riverdale left

3. Oakland 4 - 2 - 1 = 13 points finished and will finish in 3rd place. Congratulations on the run in the distirct!

4. Blackman 3 - 3 - 0 = 9 points with White County left

5. Warren County 2 - 3 - 1 = 7 points with Cookeville left

6. Cookeville 2 - 3 - 0 = 6 points with Siegel and Warren County left

7. Lebanon 1 - 6 - 0 = 3 points finished

8. White County 0 - 6 - 0 = 0 points with Blackman left

Barring an upset by Cookeville, the game between Siegel and Riverdale should be for the regular season championship. Barring an upset by White County, Blackman should finish in fourth. This leaves the game between Cookeville and Warren County to decidge fifth. Anyway --- keep having fun. The tournament looks to be a good one.

Does the winner of the district gets to host the district tournament?

No, the coaches in their district meeting set the rotation for the tournament location for each year. For 2008, it was supposed to be Lebanon but I do not know if the coaches have changed that and if so, who they moved the tournament to. Maybe one of the coaches can fill us in.

I believe Siegel is hosting this year.

Also heard that the second round has been moved

from Siegel High School to Siegel Park Complex due

to a MIDDLE school football game.

You are correct. First Round will be at the higher seed. Semi-finals are tentatively scheduled to be played on the stadium field at Richard Siegel Park due to a Siegel Middle football game. Finals will be at Siegel High.

1st Place = Winner of Riverdale (6 - 0 - 0 = 18 points) vs Siegel (6 - 0 - 0 = 18 points)

2nd Place = Loser of Riverdale vs Siegel

3rd Place = Okland 4 - 2 - 1 = 13 points

4th Place = Blackman 4 - 3 - 0 = 12 points

5th Place = Winner of Warren County (2 - 3 - 1 = 7 points) vs Cookeville (2 - 4- 0 = 6 points)

6th Place = Loser of Warren County vs Cookeville

7th Place = Lebanon 1 - 6 - 0 = 3 points

8th Place = White County 0 - 7 - 0 = 0 points

With two games left, this is the way it is lining up. Cookeville and Warren County will know where they finish this next Tuesday and Lebanon and White County are waiting to see where they will play the first round based on how Riverdale and Siegel finish. It looks to be all Murfreesboro teams in the semi-finals as I don't see how any of the bottom four finishers have a good chance at an upset. Everyone keep having fun and good luck the rest of the way.

Final Results:

1st Siegel

2nd Riverdale

3rd Oakland

4th Blackman

5th Cookeville

6th Warren County

7th Lebanon

8th White County

The most interesting first round game appears to be the Warren County at Oakland game. These two teams played to a tie in regular season and seem to match up better than the other teams in first round games. Good luck to everyone and hope to see some of you folks during the tournament.

Why does a boys middle school game take precedence over a girls high school soccer semi finals? Let the middle school team play at another high school that is not using their football field. If you are going to play the semi finals there you might as well play the finals there and the middle schools need to pay for playing at Siegel Park.

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
