Wow....28-0 Camden with 6 minutes to go in the ball game. I don't think NS had postive yardage until some time late in the second qtr. Lost track of turnovers by the Indians...so many fumbles the zebras had to throw the white flags more than the yellow ones. Could have been 42 to nothing if several wide open passes hadn't been dropped. Still lots of sloppy play and too many flags that I am COMPLETELY SURE Coach Ward will have remedied for the big region contest next week. But all in all once again a dominant performance by Camden. Got a couple big ones a head...can't wait /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Go LIONS!

The hardest hit of the game was the hit Travis made on that receiver at mid field.NorthSides players were so big that their running back looked like Tatoo calling for the plane.Hes Good though.

You're right....Travis took out the ball carrier and a blocker and they had probably 50 pounds on him. The whole stadium went crazy. I know #84 just wanted to go home...he sure didn't want Kim to kick off to his side again for sure. After his field got plowed a BUNCH he started hearing footsteps from every corner. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

What happend i this game exactly? I looked at the box score and Camden had around 170 yads of offense and northside had close to 300. I heard 50 0f those yards for Camden came off a fake punt late in the game that the North Side folks said was busch league because it was very late in the game and the game already decided. But that means Camden only put up 120 yards of offense. What happened? How so few yards and so many points. And how did north side have 300 yads and only 6 points?

NS had 198 yards passing and 68 yards rushing. They were able to move the ball effectively at times (with the pass) but shot themselves in the foot more times than I can count ( 2 INTs and 2 fumbles plus countless bad snaps). Also, Camden laid some hard hits on them big boys (and I do mean BIG) early that had them seeing shadows and hearing foot steps the rest of the game. The Indians couldn't move the ball at all in the first qtr, made some adjustments but still, most of those passing yards were between the 20's and on about 3 big plays. The North Side defense clamped down on the run after the half and it looked like Camden was trying some new things on offense throughout the game. The score should have been at least 49-6 if the Lions had converted on some big wide open pass plays. Gotta work the bugs out somehow... a game like this seems a pretty good time to do that to me.

Yards don't matter....only the score does!!!!!! Fans can call that bush league all they want but I think it was smart football.....if your going to put 11 players in the box your best option is to fake it..........Good for them.....That's just smart coaching....

first, i would like to respond to the people who think coach ward would call a fake punt to rub an allready bad beat down in another teams face doesnt know anything about the man. that call was made to simply get the first down and run out the clock, what was he suposed to do tell the kid to laydown? i dont think so. the reason camden didn't have a lot of yards is that our defensive effort gave us an extremly short field most of the night. and 65 of northsides yardage and lone score came on a broken passplay.. all in all i think our front 7 is as good as they want to be and getting better.

    • He may have possibly said that to get the best out of him. Back when I was in school word got out I was going to transfer and Coach Story popped off and ask Coach Wilson in front of the team if Maryville was going to get a jock strap in return on this trade. That got back to me and I got fired up and stayed just to show them up. Now today Coach Story is one of my best friends.
    • Dylan's Dad, I'm glad you replied. I wanted to reply but wasnt willing to take the bait. There were 20 wrestlers on the team. I may be mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 5 of the 20 attend McCallie right now and one will next year. At most, there are/were 6 kids on that team who attend McC. That leaves 14 other team members who have ZERO affiliation with McC (outside of maybe some friends) who represented our state to the best of their ability and wrestled their butts off that weekend. That weekend was a first for Tennessee and obviously a small step in the right direction for us as a state. Congratulations TEAM TN BLACK!
