plowboy, this will be my first year back watching a Ritz coached team. You understand my displeasure in years past. I'm mostly coming back to see your boy play, best of luck to him. I'm also hoping to see Gabe Overcast have a great year. I worked with his father at Northeast State and currently work with his mother at Andrew Johnson Elementary, nice people. Hope to see you around.

 

By the way, plowboy, do you have the rest of the Indians schedule by chance?

PB if the info I got was correct DB opens at Crockett on the 10th , the 1st Central game got moved up to the 23rd of March, They are going to Oak Ridge April 9 10 11 and add North to the end of the schedule.

I don't know, sounds possible. They put out a schedule but things change.Oak Ridge away would

be different.Baseball parents meeting is today at 2:00 @ Rock Springs School behind South.

April 9th-12th Oak Ridge is hosting tourny, and DB will be participating in it. Dont know the other teams that will be in it, but it will be a good chance to see what some of the knoxville teams have. Wish Ritz would have gotten them in the SportsBelle this year, it is loaded with the best teams in the state including Science Hill, been a good chance to see some very good pitching early in the year, we need those bats to get warm quick because this first game is a very important one.

Science Hill is taking it to the streets this spring.

 

Scenic City Classic, Riverdale Warrior Spring Classic, Sportsbelle, Kevin Calia Oak Ridge Tournament..

 

As for the Kevin Calia Oak Ridge Tournament..here is some of the teams listed DB , Science Hill, Oak Ridge, Powell, Sequoyah, Daniel Boone

      He may have possibly said that to get the best out of him. Back when I was in school word got out I was going to transfer and Coach Story popped off and ask Coach Wilson in front of the team if Maryville was going to get a jock strap in return on this trade. That got back to me and I got fired up and stayed just to show them up. Now today Coach Story is one of my best friends.

      Dylan's Dad, I'm glad you replied. I wanted to reply but wasnt willing to take the bait. There were 20 wrestlers on the team. I may be mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 5 of the 20 attend McCallie right now and one will next year. At most, there are/were 6 kids on that team who attend McC. That leaves 14 other team members who have ZERO affiliation with McC (outside of maybe some friends) who represented our state to the best of their ability and wrestled their butts off that weekend. That weekend was a first for Tennessee and obviously a small step in the right direction for us as a state. Congratulations TEAM TN BLACK!
