I was in attendace yesterday at the scrimmage.. I knew coming in that they were going to Charge to get in however I didn't think many people would pay the $4.00 for a SCRIMMAGE!! But they did.. The product on the field was very impressive. I think South Doyle look very impressive. The only problem I saw thus far were their height! I mean, they're a very short team but Duncan has things looking bright over in South Knoxville..

He loves blowing that whitsle. I mean, the players were all just doing whatever and Coach Duncan blew the whitsle they ran like a bat out of you know what to get to the coach I was like WOW.

Good Luck to the Kees

Oh by the way since the scrimmage was canceld due to weather can I get my money back /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I'm just messing.. Hahahaha

after the first play of the scrimmage, SD never had a play over 4 yards and had plenty of negative yards for sure. CC had a goal line stand when SD started at the 4 after a turnover. CC had some good drives. Oh yea, SD only had 1 first down other than the first play of the game. That was my take on the scrimmage which lasted just a half.

WOW I was trying to give South Doyle their props, you get on here and bash them.. Yes, they had some things that didn't go as planned but hey, they did look good for the 1st time against another team. Give them their props instead of bashing them..

Bama #9, dang he's looking beasty!! He's getting buff and still banging them kids around! Hahaha

On an earlier post I said that I wasn't convinced that Coach D really wanted to get back into coaching, but pretty much had to out of necessity. Some other posters have said that is not true, and that he really wanted back into coaching. All of that is mere speculation on both sides, but either way it really doesn't matter. Knowing Clark like I do I will guarantee you he will improve SD football! He is extremely competitive and a strong disciplinarian. If the players and family will be buy into what he is doing, then SD football will take a big step forward. I grinned when I read the post about the players running to coach when he blows the whistle. You do not want to be the guy who walks to the huddle /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Sounds like the team is already making improvements, no matter how big or small the improvements may be at this time. Ironically, SD will play Powell the first game of the season. Coach D loves Powell, but I know that game will bring out all of his competitiveness. It should be a fun game to watch.

Bama may be looking buff, but his attitude is in dire need of an adjustment, which is the reason he did not start nor play the 1st quarter. He is becoming very close to being made an example of by the coaching staff.

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
