who is looking good this year?

who is going to be the team to beat and who is going to be a surprise this year?

After last year, Wavo may be the favorite with their pitching phenom Purcell coming back. Last year's other surprise had to be Fairview who came in third in the tournament, but I don't see them sneaking up on any one this year.

What does everyone see this year for 11AA?

Wide open. I think everybody has a pretty good #1 pitcher for the most part.

I think this will be one of the tigher district races in recent years. I'm not ready to make a prediction of 1-8 just yet.

24 more days until practice cranks up, 29 till the Red Hawks scrimmage Mt. Juliet at the Wood. It doesn't feel like baseball season just yet(2 degres last night). Should be a very competitive year in 11AA. Hope somebody represents again in STATE. New District tourney format will make things interesting. You figure Pieratt will be #1 in Dover. Congrats on signing with Columbia St. big man! Purcell in Waverly and Mills on the reservation should be penciled in as well. The rest I am not sure about including our own Red Hawks, kinda still to be determined. I do know this, it will be FUN!!!!! 30PEACE !!

We do return 148 0f 190 innings. We MUST cut down on walks. Donaldson, Warwick and Hooper started Conference games last yr. They as well as Parker, Sherrill, Cox and Palmore also are capable.

Young arms we hurt with loss of Nicholson Soph. Need more time to pass to see who steps up. Who took the job at Sycamore? What do they have returning on bump? 30PEACE!!!

I really don't know much else. I will try and find out more. Mont Central will be back this year. . Dont count them out! Go indians!

Headed to coaches clinic in Franklin to get rules meeting in and listen to several coaches speak. Finley did take over Cheatham. 4th coach this school year over their. Sycamore is supposed to be good this year with several returning from last year's squad. I could b wrong. 30PEACE!!

    • This late in the year, you’d have to think they’d go with an Asst. on staff, right? I’m pretty new to the area so still learning how folks do things around here…if Woods stays there to teach, it could be hard on a new guy/staff coming in…
    • Well, your Big Western Hunt better turn up some Zebras to come graze on the Stones to make the jungle gametime ready again and make sure the plumber bros. still will come service the facilities at the Mecca. I hope your weekend is Fowl. Tell Rip hello from the Five Oh. Maybe the Gravedigger will catch a ride with Alphaniner on a flyover soon to BNA.
    • It’s not hearsay, just patently false. As one of those young coaches he apparently “ran off”, coach never once ridiculed or degraded anyone. Sure he challenged kids and coached them very hard,  but we have different definitions of you call that degrading. Coach Hammontree changed my life when he gave me the chance to work for him. I learned more about being a man and caring for the people around me in 4 years working for him than I did in 20 years of my life. No one sacrificed more than he did. I left Heritage because I felt there would never be the support necessary to help the program succeed. I’m tired of hearing people drag others down especially those they truly don’t know. Coach has moved on and a new coach is there. Just let the man live and root for the team.
    • Waiting on the Great One.   White Horse and Rip have a big weekend in the woods, and the Sheriff is working the overtime here.      Turkey season awaits…..Big Gobblers everywhere.
    • He won first at maryville so he did something right
