marion will once again be tops in the valley as well as the district. muir and loyd on the mound will be too tough for valley teams to touch... muir turned into a stud down the stretch and i'm gonna bet that he or guyear will be the player of the year in 6-AA /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Muir, Loyd, Helm, Murphy, Guyear and more, I just can't remember them all right now, but they all are good ball players. And they all knows what it takes to win. Don't get me wrong, I hope Seq can win the district at least on the valley side. I haven't seen the schedule, but I've heard it's brutal ( non district ).

Indian do you know what the schedule is, or can find one and post on the schedule board.

I know you have been reading this thread JH, who's your new coach.

/roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Old Pirate says.................... sounds as if Jasper would have a hard time fielding a team "IF" not for them there Pittsburg boys (Muir, Loyd,Helm) Hum.... 3 of the top 4? Then throw Guyear in from Grundy, wow....4 of the top 5. Now....Heck, this is the volunteer state anyhow, quess they felt kinda like Davey Crocket and wanted to help them there warriors defend their tee-pees. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Dykes, Kilgore, McDonough, Johnson, Harmon, any of these boys will win the MVP. that is why Marion will not win this year. We have more weapons. We are not counting on just a couple of players.

If you are a Seq fan, you shouldn't be talking so much smack. Seq hasn't faired much better the last few years than SP or Whitwell. I'm a Seq fan and I've noticed on coacht, that when a new season starts in any sport some of our young people get on here and talk smack and when we do bad or not as good as smack talkers lead everyone to believe, we never here from them again, so the smack talk isn't needed. The weapons are equal between Jasper and Seq, the one that prepares the best and has the best timely pitching, will fair the best. And all the talk about the player of the year or MVP is useless, in order to have a successful season everyone has to play like a MVP. And Johnson hasn't played since 8th grade, however he should be able to help.

you seq fans talk the same ol' nonsense year in and year out and we know what the result is year in and year out. when is the last time y'all have done anything in the district?... don't worry i'll wait. you should have your shot next year though as marion won't have a thing

I have to agree that Marion has lost a lot of very good ball players the last two years. but they return some very good players as well, my son has played with and around those boys since coach pitch and they are all fine players. I do believe that Seq. should have a better season this year in the district, and would love to see them beat Marion. I know Marion has at least two proven pitchers, we will need some of our older boys to step up on the mound.

Marion marches thru the Valley and 6AA undefeated.

Marion will win their share of games this year. Undefeated is hard for any team to do. Marion will be competitive and will be the team to beat again this year. With that said, Sequatchie will be better with Shane at the realm and Chattanooga Christian will be much improved. Good luck to Marion, go get the 4 peat.

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
