Hello everyone! I'm new to posting on this site, however, a bit surprised that this tounament is close to being over and no one is talking. So I thought I would update the small school girls division.

 

1. Middle Tennessee Christian defeated Warren County Eastside in the first game.

2. Tracy City defeated McFadden to move on.

3. Allons defeated Kittrell.

4. Carroll Oakland defeated Swiss Memorial.

 

Semi-finals

 

1. Middle Tennessee Christian defeated Tracy City 48 - 21

2. Carroll Oakland defeated Allons.

 

Championship game

 

1. Middle Tennessee Christian Jr. High girls defeated Carroll Oakland 42 - 21.

 

By the way, I would like to congratulate the Middle Tennessee Christian girls on a perfect season 30 - 0, and for the first time in the 35 years of MTCS hosting this tournament, the Jr. High girls were crowned the Champion.

 

In the large shool division:

 

1. Cornersville defeated Cornerstone.

2. Rickman defeated Martin Elementary. Please someone correct me if a team may have dropped out!

 

Next round:

 

1. Cornersville defeated Celina. Celina may have dropped out!

2. Westwood defeated Southside.

3. Pinehave defeated DeKalb Middle.

4. Rickman defeated Collinwood.

 

Semi final round:

 

1. Westwood defeated Cornersville.

2. Rickman defeated Pinehaven.

 

Championship:

 

Westwood and Rickman will be playing for the championship at 5:30pm today.

Congratulations to the Rickman Girls with thier victory over Westwood in the championship game of the large School division. The game was played Monday 1/26/09.

This is the same team that won the James C. Haile Championship, minus three talented 8th graders that moved up to the highschool team! This is a very young team that just got younger. This team can still compete in the TNT if the other players step-up! I'll post the score!
