Beech coming off a region championship in 6-4A...

Gallatin and Hendersonville finishing #1 and #2 in 6-5A...

Station Camp coming off an impressive year...

Can Portland keep up with the Big Boyz...

How will they fare in the new district?

Just a note: Hville and Gallatin were in 5-5A last year.

This season, these teams will finish in this order:

Hendersonville

Gallatin

Beech

Station Camp

Portland (they will be way, way down here)

bison4 why would you bash yazzie for going to a small school??

youre going to wofford

seriously?

Just to comment on this. I have NEVER bashed a player on here. I was merely congratulating a player to be able to further his education and play a game he loves. As for Wofford, they are a premiere team in the So Con and I am proud to have my son go there. I wish they would have got Yazzie. So please don't misunderstand my comments on here.

Apology accepted. Thanks for the well wishes. I also look forward to seeing some good local high school football again next year. I'd like to see Richie do well kicking for you guys. He will get offers for sure.

I was reading from top to bottom, and I sure thought it odd someone was going after bison4 for bashing a kid. If anything, he'd go after someone who DID bash a kid.

Frankly, I was shocked Yazzie only got a small school offer. I didn't necessarily think he was SEC material, but he's a mid major guy, at least. I think some larger schools missed the boat on him. He was the best player I saw all season.

Now, as far as the pecking order for next year, was Hendersonville not hit hard by graduation? Not that I'm arguing the prediction, I really don't know. Someone fill me in on Hendersonville, Gallatin, Beech, and the Wilson County schools.

I don't know a thing about the Wilson County teams. All I can speak of is Hendersonville, and let me tell you, this team is going to be STOUT in the trenches this season!

Our line will be unmatched next season. We have upcoming Juniors such as Joe Townsend, Cayman Russell, and Brady Kelly that are going to contribute to our line in a great way. Troy Dye will be a great TE, he is a great blocker and has good hands. Look out for this line next season.

Some good players returning for SC

Brandon Porch QB, punt retuner

Robby Ignagni lineman

Jacob Hamblen RB, DB

Daryll Eubanks back, LB

Mathew Hinricher WR, FS will take over kicking chores

Jesse Carrigan has potential at center and nose guard

Madison Tate-Booker is fast if his leg heals

That's about all I know since so many starters were lost.

Good luck boys, God bless and stay healthy.

    • The only thing that was said at half time of the 45-0 game was Coach Story, he said: "I know y'all have been out there a lot, but kick-off team, y'all need to get down there faster!" Then he and the other coaches proceeded to go into the coaches office and we all went nuts!  It was the only time I can ever remember coaches not saying anything at half time. Definitely a great memory!!!
    • Boyd could actually be a grade below what he is now, but his parents didn't see the need to "redshirt" him like the other city school down the road would have pushed for....
    • too busy with flag football
    • Who invited the First Family of Hartsville?
    • When Danny was a senior he was the quarterback on the 82 team and also the placeholder on extra points. At the end of the game Heritage scored a touchdown with very little time left and went ahead 9-0. On the following extra point Danny rose up and threw a perfect pass to one of his receivers which made it 11-0 and Heritage's first win against Maryville since the series started in 77. Maryville fans were highly ticked off because they felt like it was rubbing salt in the wound. The following year when both teams met again at Maryville  the Rebels ran away with the game and after the first couple of touchdowns they went for two points after each score for a pay back and the score was 45-0 at halftime. The following Monday Bob Gilbert the sports eiditor for the local paper bashed Maryville in an article called the Humilation of Teenagers and tore into Maryville even though he was a graduate of the school. Those were the good ole days when Heritage had decent teams and the rivalry between them and Maryville was a fun event to see.
