Chiefs came up short yesterday against Loudon. Loudon 11 - Chiefs 6. Not a bad showing for the Chiefs on their first scrimmage. We played everyone and found out what we needed to work on. We made a couple of early base running errors and fielding errors that we must eliminate to defeat a good team. Offensively - we had a lot of two out hits scoring several runs. Keep working hard Chiefs! Believe in yourself and your teammates and you will be successful!

two out hits are great. but i dont think you did alot of damage with them because you only scored 6 total runs. good luck

I have to say.. in my opinon, Sequoyah has quite a weak schedule this season.

Playing teams like Greenback, York Institute, Fulton, Harriman, Wartburg, Midway.

Beating up on 1A teams doesn't make you any better.

C'mon, toughen it up a little.

The Chiefs played well at times this week end against very good teams in the Kevin Calia Classic in Oak Ridge!

Friday was leading Karns 6-2 when the rain came. This game will be completed later this week. The Chiefs travel to Karns on Friday. Karns travel to Sequoyah on Thursday.

Saturday - Science Hill won 12-2. The chiefs gave up 10 runs in the first and then settled down and play 2-2 the rest of the game.

Saurday - Powell (Knox) won 8-2. This was a great game through out. E. Moser held Powell to only 3 runs through 6 complete innings. Great job! Powell was leading 3-2 going into the top of the seventh. The chiefs turned the game over to the bull pen. Powell put together a solid last frame to score 5 runs and put the game away.

Great Expierence for the Chiefs! We now have to focus on the upcoming series against Meigs Co. This one is huge!!!!!

Go Chiefs!!!

Ok ok, I'll give it to you...

So Sequoyah is pretty good this year

It hurts to say that, but you are right

    • Began as a discussion, and evolved into a trainwreck...   Don't know how many of the TC "old guard" are left, but I feel for y'all.   Everybody has to get the last word... no matter the cost and sometimes the cost is high.
    • He may have possibly said that to get the best out of him. Back when I was in school word got out I was going to transfer and Coach Story popped off and ask Coach Wilson in front of the team if Maryville was going to get a jock strap in return on this trade. That got back to me and I got fired up and stayed just to show them up. Now today Coach Story is one of my best friends.
    • Dylan's Dad, I'm glad you replied. I wanted to reply but wasnt willing to take the bait. There were 20 wrestlers on the team. I may be mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 5 of the 20 attend McCallie right now and one will next year. At most, there are/were 6 kids on that team who attend McC. That leaves 14 other team members who have ZERO affiliation with McC (outside of maybe some friends) who represented our state to the best of their ability and wrestled their butts off that weekend. That weekend was a first for Tennessee and obviously a small step in the right direction for us as a state. Congratulations TEAM TN BLACK!
    • Danny Wilson is the only one that come's to mind but I don't know where he is at now.
    • I am pro coach all day long but there are some knucklehead hires for sure.
