AAA better bring it!!! Between the guys from Ooltewah, Hunters Lane, White Station and Stratford, I think the 100m champ will come from one of these schools. I think the young man from Centennial has peaked at the right time. Its too bad, in this area, noone knows about them because they really get no coverage unless they are running in Doug Hall or the City Championships. So anyone reading, please come to the State meet to see some good action regardless of who is running.

I am calling out a favorite in AAA 100m. From the hills of Dollywood get ready for a shot of white lightning. Aaron Pippin of Sevier County.

Arron made quite an impression at the Oak Ridge Sectionals for Region 1 & 2. Won the 100m dash with 10.95 and 200m dash with 22.70. Also Jeremiah Foster, also from Sevier County, won the 110m Hurdles with a 15.19. 4.100m relay with Pippin, Foster, Matt Spangler and Brandon White won with a time of 42.9.

Look out for Sevier County. They are coming on strong.

Marsalis Teague captured first place in Springfield in the 100-meter dash with a 10.9 second run. Teague also won the 200-meter race with a time of 22 seconds.

He would have been 3rd in the Section 2 finals. Sammy Seamster from Ooltewah ran a 10.80 and came in second in the 100m. Seamster won the 200m at 21.52. Ooltewah relays 4x100 and 4x200 won. Look for them to be strong next weekend.

Good luck at State, J. Foster and other three East Tennessee hurdlers. Hope you rep East TN well. Have to say the hurdles was a big bummer for us in NET, as the Section 1 Class AAA top qualifier from Sullivan South, JR - Seth Watterson, repulled his hammy out of the blocks in Oak Ridge. As always, he was first out of the blocks in Oak Ridge but pulled it before hurdle 1. Seth's qualifying time was 15.18 electronic and that was when he was only about 80%. Fully expected a time in the 14's. He may have been East TN's best shot at a 110M hurdle title, but hopefully those remaining can shock middle and west TN.

Hammy injuries blow!

Good luck again to the four East TN hurlders.

Raymond Jackson and Chaz Scales were hot yesterday in the Sectional 3 finals. I look for them to be in the finals of the 100m and 200m, giving the nod to Raymond. My son finished 3rd in the 100m and 4th in the 200m. He looks up to these seniors. He has one more year. Look for HL to be hot in the 4 x 100 posting times of 41.70 and 41.86 this year. Big ups to Brentwood High's Girls and Boys for winning the sectionals. Shout out to my son's school Hunters Lane for finishing second behind Brentwood.

Let me give love to Ben Tankard in A-AA in the hurdles. Represent MLK (and yourself) well. He has had a great season.

Good luck to all this coming up week!!!!

    • Shopping? His family is loaded and he's 6'6 I'm pretty sure he could start anywhere in upper East TN,So no need to shop. Word is Witten got caught trying to work him out on campus and some 7 on 7 while playing athletics for Sullivan East. Word got around pretty quick and Someone turned them into TSSAA.
    • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL
