I not sure but it's hard to count Hunters Lane out after that performance last night.......can't wait to see it.........Maplewood sure was a disappointment, undisciplined and selfish....did anyone else see that??????

Having seen both Maplewood and Hunters Lane this year, I sure was suprised. I figured it would be Maplewood that would advance and Hunters Lane that would falter, but thats why I love this time of the year. I am going to say that Franklin is the winner.

You have to love the way Franklin came out firing tuesday night. Maplewood was bigger, stronger, and faster. The Rebels made Maplewood play "slow" on offense, and then Franklin started nailing jump shots. Once Haddix got going in the paint, Franklin ran away with it!

Lots of people wrote Franklin off, but now what do people have to say?

I going with Franklin in this one. I still have to wonder how good they would have been if Kagriese (?) had of stayed. Does anyone know how he did at Oak Hill?

I'm going with Hunter's Lane. I think HL aggressive defensive style will cause problems for Franklin. Franklin will not have wide open jumpshots tonight.

The jumpers wont be there, but if they attack their pressure defense and quick and crisp passes, layups and high percentage shots will be there all night. If Franklin can duplicate their gameplan from tuesday, they should be OK.

    • HVA is a dump and will never be good at football. It's a baseball school. Look at the types of homes being built and families moving in. Not football families. People will move in and look at the school and choose to play for another program. This issue has been snow balling for a decade now
    • Also no shot at an indoor facility it took ya'll almost a decade just to turf blankenship
    • You will not be able to replace Dozier he was a stud and wasted for years. Heyward started strong and then fell of but he will be missed still Rembert could fly and was also underused. Not being replaced. Track has started to close the gap with football. It does not help that the current AD is just stealing money(collecting his check) while the assistant AD is a XC/Track guy who always hated football. Current AD is too worried about not hurting anyone's feelings to do anything at all. Heck he is gotta be 70 plus and looks like a fool wearing kid shoes
    • Will Trez remain 2A after the influx of another 2A school?
    • As I said somewhere earlier in the thread, the original plans had no outdoor athletic facilities being part of the campus.  The original plan was for HVA to use facilities at nearby schools.  Very late in the process they came up with a plan and found budget to have minimal facilities and crammed them in to space that never was intended for athletic facilities.
